Gain Christ, trusting Jehovah

Jehovah vergelde u wat ge gedaan hebt! Moge Jehovah, de God van Israël,  onder wiens vleugelen ge uw toevlucht zijt komen zoeken, u overvloedig  belonen. (Ruth 2:12)
Jehovah, mijn toevlucht, Hij is mijn burcht en mijn veste; Mijn God, mijn rots,  waarop ik kan schuilen. Mijn schild, de hoorn van mijn heil, mijn schutse  en mijn toevlucht, Mijn redder heeft mij uit de verdrukking verlost. (2 Samuël 22:3)

Maar door Christus te volgen winnen wij heel veel.

Due to distance ourselves from this world it seems to many that we have a lot of losses.
But by following Christ we win a lot.
We are pleased and grateful that we are justified by faith.
We are pleased that through Jesus Christ we have received reconciliation.
And we are grateful to you God, that you have made all this possible for us poor sinners.

God laat mijn meedogende genegenheid tolerant zijn en vriendelijk. Zorg dat mijn liefdadigheid lang aanblijft en niet jaloers zal zijn. Dat ze lief is, niet benijdt niet bluft en geen opgedofte of met arrogantie gezwollen liefde is. Dat ik een persoon mag zijn die over meevoelende genegenheid beschikt. Dat ik mij niet ongepast gedraag en niet verder zoek naar mijn eigen belang. Dat ik niet probeer gewoon zelfzorg te verkrijgen, maar dat ik streef naar het zorgen van anderen.
