Jesus three days in hell

82 National Olympic Committees entered teams in the 2010 Winter Olympics to bring fifteen winter sports events.
As in any festival of games many trofees where given. 2010 Winter Olympics medal table
The many medals mean something irreplaceable for the winners. As they stand on the podium to receive their medals what delight to share something of the feeling of being the best in the world, of having achieved one’s dreams! We rejoice with the winners, and commiserate with the losers.
Here no Iron and clay medals. But in the historic papers we do find notes about gaines and losses, and worlds of gold, silver, bronze, iron and clay.
Gold, silver, bronze: when you see the winter victors standing in human glory to receive their medals, just spare a long thought for the way this mixed iron and clay world is heading, and an even longer thought for the value of the crown which God offers you with his Son in this world made perfect.

Life questions
People wonder what there was before they lived and if there is something after they die. What is life all about? Is there somebody responsible for us being here and for what happens in the world? Is there a real hope for the future, despite our present problems? And when there is a responsible creator, why do we do not get to know him better? And people wonder why they should believe in a God they can not see. where do we go to? And what is going to happen to the world?
It is an unfortunate fact that virtually everything in our world seems to be deteriorating. would that also includes us as well? We all share the problem that we have no long term future. So what is going to happen?

Half-hearted discipleship
"Christ himself shows us how to make disciples. He said, "Follow me;", and he insisted that his disciples did follow him. He was only willing to have men who accepted his standards. It is instructive to observe his treatment of two contrasting types (Matt. 8: 19-22). The first said, "Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest." Instead of patting him on the back and saying, as we should have done, "That's the spirit we want", he cautioned the man. Did he really know what he was letting himself in for?
The second man was of the opposite type. He explained to Jesus that he would be free to follow him when his father was dead and buried. This earned a sharp rebuke, "Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead". We may wince at the severity of the Lord's words and yet miss the point. It is our bounden duty to stress the fact that the standards are very high. Christ wants dedicated people and nobody else. Is our half-hearted discipleship evidence of the fact that we have not heeded the Lord's instructions and have made the way too easy?"

Halfslachtig leerlingschap
