Bijbel Luther op tentoonstelling

Tot en met 28 februari is de expositie Godshuisjes – religieus erfgoed in Groningen nog te zien in het Groninger Universiteitsmuseum. Een van de pronkstukken op de tentoonstelling is – zoals al eerder gemeld – een Bijbel, die de grote hervormer Maarten Luther in Zwitserland heeft laten drukken. In dit exemplaar van de heilige schrift staan aantekeningen van hem en van de tweede eigenaar, Regnerus Praedinius, humanist en geestverwant van Erasmus.

Getoond wordt voorts onder meer het zogeheten Karolingische kruisje uit Oostwold. Dit waardevolle reliekkruis stamt uit de veertiende eeuw en werd oorspronkelijk als borstkruis aan een ketting of koord gedragen. Van vormgever Jan Kees Schelvis staan er 'godshuisjes' waarin religieuze voorwerpen en foto's worden geëtaleerd.

De expositie is van dinsdag tot en met zondag tussen 13.00 en 17.00 uur geopend. Het entreetarief is 3,50 euro. Kinderen tot tien jaar mogen gratis een kijkje nemen.
