Hoe publiek minachtend te zijn over godsdienst

In Amerika durft men een congres houden waar men als hoofdthema heeft hoe men in het publiek zijn minachiting kan uiten over godsdienst.

Door de Raad voor Seculier Humanisme werd een congres gesteund waar 370 Amerikaanse atheïsten het onderwerp onderzochten "Hoe openbaar minachtend zijn over godsdienst"? De conferentieaanwezigen, berichtte De New York Times, leek wel op een bijeenkomst van ourdere  " Star Trek" conventie gangers.
Citerend van neurologie, evolutie en filosofen zoals Kant en Rawls, onderzochten sprekers ook de potentiële bronnen van een atheïstzedelijkheid.

The humanists got less humane, as each side stereotyped the other. Those trying to find common ground with religious people were called “accommodationists,” while the more outspoken atheists were called “confrontationalists” and accused of alienating potential allies, like moderate Christians.
