Ability (part 6) Thought about the ability of God’s Provision Bringing Glory

God’s Provision

Brings Glory

Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.
Psalm 50:15

Did you know that you bring glory to God by calling upon Him when you are in distress?

God promised He would deliver you if you turned to Him. You deny the Lord honour that is rightfully His every time you find yourself in difficulty and you fail to call upon Him for help! There may be times when God allows you to reach a point of need so that you can call upon Him, and thus let Him demonstrate to a watching world the difference He makes in the lives of His children.

If God never allowed you to experience need, people around you might never have the opportunity to witness God’s provision in the life of a Christian. If you never faced a shortfall, you might be tempted to feel self-sufficient and without any need of God in your daily life.

Pride will tempt you to think that you do not need to seek God’s assistance. Self-regard will seek to convince you that you can handle your dilemma through your own wisdom, resources, and hard work. Pride will also rob glory from God and seek to give it to you. Don’t allow your pride to take what rightfully belongs to the Lord. Call upon your Lord and wait exclusively upon Him to rescue you. Then give Him the glory that He deserves.

Self-sufficiency can greatly hinder your ability to experience God and bring Him honour. The next time you are in distress, turn to Him!

Knowledge of Christ and fear for God

Heart of Jesus
Heart of Jesus (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

We do have to come to know Christ Jesus and his heavenly Father.
In Jesus we should put our faith to be able to come closer to God.
Not so much should we fear ordinary man and therefore keep to the traditional sayings,
But we should dare to really listen to Jesus' teachings and come to follow the Law of God, fearing Him more than man.

"One aspect of wisdom is recognizing your need for My help in all that you do.
When your mind is sluggish, it’s easy to forget about Me and simply dive into your tasks and activities.
But eventually you bump into an obstacle.
Then you face an important choice:
to push ahead full throttle or to stop and ask Me for insight, understanding, and guidance.
The closer to Me you live, the more readily and frequently you will seek My help."
— Jesus Always

The chosen ones to fear or not to fear

Jas 2:5 The Scriptures 1998+  (5)  Listen, my beloved brothers: Has Elohim not chosen the poor of this world, rich in belief and heirs of the reign which He promised to those who love Him?

Isa 29:19 The Scriptures 1998+  (19)  And the meek ones shall increase their joy in יהוה {Jehovah} and the poor among men rejoice in the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl.

**

The apostles did not have it easy, having the Judaic people looking cautious at them and some hating those followers of Christ.
Peter found also that all things were continuing as they were from the beginning of creation, by which he meant 'not well'. Man had taken opposition to God and as adversaries they made their voices stronger by the years.
At the time of the apostles most people also deliberately ignored the records of God's actions in the past, discounting them as fiction. They laughed at those who wanted to believe the scrolls which were read at the synagogues. And about Jesus we can imagine how they laughed at this king who never got his kingdom, though he said he could destroy the temple and raise it up again in three days.

James let those who wondered question if God had not chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith? But who then would be able to become a partaker of that kingdom of which that man who died told so lively?

Psalm 46 tells us we have a very present help in trouble and therefore we shall not have to fear, though the earth do change.
Psa 46:1-2 The Scriptures 1998+  (1)  Elohim is our refuge and strength, A help in distress, soon found.  (2)  Therefore we do not fear, Though the earth reels And mountains topple into the heart of the seas.
Those who live according the words of Jeshua, Jesus Christ the son of God, who clarified many Words of God, must be feeling God coming near to them.

Nations may rage, the kingdoms being moved, but those who are willing to hear the voice of God shall see that Yahweh-tzvaot is with them and that the God of Jacob shall be their refuge.

Even when Jehovah God would have made desolations in the earth, full of  wars to cease unto the end of the earth; it is Him Who breaks the bow, and cuts the weapons in sunder so that all people may come to know Him Who is the Only One God, Father of Christ Jesus.

Hear what God says:
Psa 46:10 The Scriptures 1998+  (10)  Be still, and know that I am Elohim; I am exalted among nations, I am exalted in the earth!
Put your strength out of Him and His offering, His son, and proclaim the Good News of His Kingdom, looking forward to the return of Christ, when after the Big Battle with the most terrible pains shall come peace and tranquillity.

Mat 5:3-11 The Scriptures 1998+  (3)  “Blessed are the poor in spirit, because theirs is the reign of the heavens.  (4)  “Blessed are those who mourn, because they shall be comforted.  (5)  “Blessed are the meek, because they shall inherit the earth.1 Footnote: 1Ps. 37:9, 11, 22, 29, 34.  (6)  “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,1 because they shall be filled. Footnote: 1Isa. 55:1-2, Mt. 4:4, John 6:48-51.  (7)  “Blessed are the compassionate, because they shall obtain compassion.  (8)  “Blessed are the clean in heart,1 because they shall see Elohim. Footnote: 1Ps. 24:3-4.  (9)  “Blessed are the peacemakers, because they shall be called sons of Elohim.  (10)  “Blessed are those persecuted for righteousness’1 sake, because theirs is the reign of the heavens. Footnote: 11Pet. 3:14.  (11)  “Blessed are you when they reproach and persecute you, and falsely say every wicked word against you, for My sake.

Psa 1:1-2 The Scriptures 1998+  (1)  Blessed is the man who shall not walk in the counsel of the wrong, And shall not stand in the path of sinners, And shall not sit in the seat of scoffers,  (2)  But his delight is in the Torah of יהוה {Jehovah}, And he meditates in His Torah day and night.

Mat 25:34 The Scriptures 1998+  (34)  “Then the Sovereign shall say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the reign prepared for you from the foundation of the world

Jos 1:8 The Scriptures 1998+  (8)  “Do not let this Book of the Torah depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you guard to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and act wisely.
Jos 1:7 The Scriptures 1998+  (7)  “Only be strong and very courageous, to guard to do according to all the Torah which Mosheh My servant commanded you. Do not turn from it right or left, so that you act wisely wherever you go.

Walking alone?

Often times in our Christian lives we feel that we are walking alone. Not only are we walking alone, but when it comes to following the direction of God, we feel that we are standing alone. We feel as if there is no one who will stand beside us. We just feel alone.

But are we alone? Do we want to be alone?

There will be times where we must Stand Alone, but that does not mean we are really standing on our own without without Christ or without his Father, our God, the divine Creator Who as a Spirit is everywhere every time. God is always with His creation.

The apostle Paul did know that he had to do a big battle, but that he was not left alone to do it.
Luke was mentioned as being present with Paul at the end, but Paul still did felt “at my first answer no man stood with me…” except “…the Lord stood with me…”

We may have no guilt in life, no fear in death because we can find the power of Christ in us.
From life’s first cry to final breath Jesus should command our destiny. By following Christ Jesus, Jeshua the son of God, no power of hell, no scheme of man can ever pluck us from Jesus his hand nor from God His hand.

Like the apostle Paul and the first Christians we have to do more than our part at first. We might feel alone in this big world of materialism which does not seem to be interested in a future life nor a god.

Often we are thinking we are important in this world. But are we really that? Are we not just like a little grain of sand on the beach?
We may become of certain importance but than we also have to make others feel important – because they are. We should be concerned about their future and let them feel that we are not only interested in ourselves.

When we are willing to willing to get uncomfortable, at the same time trusting in the Creator God, we should not worry so much. We may trust that He Who started to work in us will bring us further on our way. (Philippians 1:6)

We also mostly forget that when we need a helping hand, we may find one at the end of our arm.

As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands.  One for helping yourself, the other for helping others.”
- Audrey Hepburn
“What do we live for, if it is not to make life less difficult for each other?”
- George Eliot
“Determine never to be idle… It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.”
— Thomas Jefferson
How bouncy are you? Can you use setbacks to spring you into new realizations? Use insults or criticisms to lift you into new heights?
The next time you get knocked down, remember that you have a choice whether you want to rest first, or bounce right back up.
Try it right now. See if you can bounce off any resistance or bad feelings. See how high you can go. See if you can shift your view.
- From Thought For Today.

In the power of Christ we shall be able to stand .

It's not that I'm so smart

"It's not that I'm so smart,
it's just that I stay with problems longer.

"Then Jesus told his disciples a parable
to show them that
they should always pray and not give up."
Luke 18:1

Teach me humility and let me see where I need help.
God, I understand that I always can come with my problems to you.
that I dare to hold on and direct the proper prayers to you.
