Be happy that the thorn bush has roses

"Instead of complaining that the rosebush is full of thorns,
be happy that the thorn bush has roses."
- German Proverb

"Do everything without complaining or arguing,
so that you may become blameless and pure,
children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation,
in which you shine like stars in the universe"
Philippians 2:14-15

God, let me look perspective to life.
All the problems I encountered I want to overlook
and the beauty and goodness of your creation set against it.
That I may be just in your eyes
and may live impeccable according to your commandments.

Being thankful

It is always possible to be thankful

for what is given rather than to complain about what is not given.
One or the other becomes a habit of life.
Elisabeth Elliot

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,
since as members of one body you were called to peace.
And be thankful.
Colossians 3:15

Thanksgiving. . .
is a glad and reverent lifting of the heart to
God in honor and praise for His goodness.
James R. Miller

Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving,
Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
For the LORD is a great God
And a great King above all gods.
Psalm 95:2-3

"Hem your blessings with thankfulness so they don't unravel."
- Author Unknown

"Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you,
with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with
psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God."
Colossians 3:16
