"Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes...Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist." -Ephesians 6:11, 14a (NIV)
We are just week human natures. We carry in our body the blemish of the first faulty action of our fore parents Adam and Eve. We would like to stand firm in this world full of temptations and problems. As believers we would like to put on the whole armor of God with the hope that we may be able to stand against the wiles of evil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness.
When we manage to take up the complete armor of The Only One God, by filling ourselves with His Word and complying with His Laws, we are promised that we might be able to offer resistance in the wicked day. Would you not like to hold your stance?
So, continue to stand firm in faith with your loins girded about in truth, having put on yourselves the breastplate of righteousness.
When we believe we need to do something good for God and for His world, believing we can do it even when we are up against one challenge after another, requires that we protect our minds and our hearts, and that we protect ourselves against the lies that will threaten to derail us.
