Zionist Attempt to undermine the presence of the Christian community

14 years ago a Zionist organisation called Ateret Cohanim obtained the properties in Christian Jerusalem by using foreign-based third parties as intermediaries to secretly buy the properties from the Greek Orthodox patriarchate.

The attempted sale has been subject to a legal dispute for the past fourteen years but on 10th June the Israeli Supreme Court rubber-stamped the sale in favour of the Zionists.

Getting more Christian properties of which most of them were hotels used by Christians, lesser Christian visitors will be having a place to sleep and visit the city, giving more room to the Zionist settlers.

The Christian Patriarchs of the Holy Land and heads of other churches including the Anglicans and Lutherans have issued a joint statement condemning this deceitful sale of hotels in the Christian quarter of Jerusalem to what the Patriarchs described as an “extremist group” of Zionist settlers.
They warned
“The actions of this radical group do not only mean an assault on the property rights of the Greek Orthodox Church, but an assault on the status quo protections for all Christians in this holy city of Jerusalem and deeply threatens the Christian presence in our beloved Holy Land.”
“An attempt to undermine the presence of one Church here undermines all the Churches and the wider Christian community around the world. We reaffirm our belief that a vibrant Christian community is an essential element in the preservation of Jerusalem’s historically diverse society and a prerequisite for peace in this city.”

Perhaps a little bit late, though not less well ment: Happy Rosh Hashanah

My laptop encountered many problems the last few weeks. After a first crash the update to Windows 10 did not work out well so the pc had to go in again to made working. This took longer than expected, so no work on the pc could be done leaving no postings to be presented for some days.

This made also that I am too late to wish a happy New Year to our Jewish and Messianic readers.

All the trumpets had to make a joyful noise on Monday night. Monday to Tuesday had to be a day of joyful shouting. (Numbers 29:1 HCSB)

Starting the Hebrew Year 5776, some may find that there may not seem much cause for horn tooting and joyful shouting in the Holy Land. In the past few days, Jews have found themselves bombarded with rocks and worse by Palestinian radicals from atop the Temple Mount. Anti-Semitism is surging. Iran, with both a windfall and nuclear weapons in sight, promised last week that there’ll be no such thing as Israel in 25 years.

Europe is facing an unseen migration flood and in the East the wars seem to become battles without an end. For us there are enough signs the end times are coming closer and closer, so we have enough reason to blow the trumpet out of "joy"

Twice in Scripture God lays out His desire for the Feast of Trumpets, first in Leviticus 23:23-25:
Leviticus 23:23-25 The Scriptures 1998+  (23)  And יהוה  {Jehovah} spoke to Mosheh, saying,  (24)  “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you have a rest, a remembrance of blowing of trumpets, a set-apart gathering.  (25)  ‘You do no servile work, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה .’ ”

The New Year is the time to reset our priorities and get back to the business of serving God and directing our lives towards these goals.
To love the Lord your God, to listen to His voice and to cleave to him, for He is your life and length of your days. (Deuteronomy 30:20)

Jew's are obligated to here 100 blasts of the Shofar, on Rosh Hashanah, which awakens our souls to God. Happy new year.

Only one person who has the power to cast the deciding vote that will kill your dream

There exists only one person who has the power to cast the deciding vote that will kill your dream...YOU!

'Moses spoke to the children of Israel...'Look the Lord you God has set the land before you, go up and possess it... Yet, for all that, you did not believe the Lord your God... And the Lord ...took an oath, saying, surely not one of these men...shall see that good land of which I swore to give...' Deuteronomy 1:3,21,32,34-35

Jerusalem God's City for ever

In 'The meek one riding on an ass' you could read how Jeshua, or Jesus as he is called by many today, entered Jerusalem seated on a donkey. As a king he was welcomed into the town. Not all the people at that time knew that Jeshua was to become the real king of that city, which would be the capital of one united world.

Jerusalem, no matter what happens in the world, is going to be the promised place of the land of God's people. From the writings in the Old Testament we know that Jerusalem is going to deserve a special place not only in the heart of God but also in the hearts of the people of God.

I then manually input data from maps found in a couple of sources. Robert W. Funk and the Jesus Seminar. The Acts of Jesus. HarperSanFrancisco: 1998. p. xxiv. Michael Grant. Jesus: An Historian's Review of the Gospels. Charles Scribner's Sons: 1977. p. 65-67. John P. Meier. A Marginal Jew. Doubleday: 1991. p. 1:434. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

The Burton Christadelphians have a look at that special place which comes daily in the news with less nice news. But Bible believers are convinced that the situation is not going to continue for long any more. In God’s special city Jesus Christ will take up his throne and rule over the kingdom of God when he returns to earth.

The angel had assured Miriam (Mary/Maria) that God had a surprise for her, she becoming pregnant and giving birth to a son to be called Jeshua, the Immanuel (Jesus, God with us).  And God's messenger assured her that this boy would be great and be called ‘Son of the Highest.’ But we may not overlook that this first-born son was to be given the throne of his father David. Joseph took on the worldly fathership and as such Jesus became part of the Tree of David.

What the world forgets is that at that time the promise also was made that this Jesus was going to
rule Jacob’s house forever — no end, ever, to his kingdom.

32  he shall be great and shall be called the son of the highest. and the lord god shall give him the throne of his father David. 33  and he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there shall be no end.” (Luke 1:32-33 MKJV)
This throne is in the place where King David ruled from, Jerusalem, over the first kingdom of Israel (see 1 Samuel 24v20 for example). Jesus we know will come to restore it (Acts 1v6).

then, indeed, these coming together, they asked him, saying, lord, do you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” (Acts 1:6 MKJV)

When we look at the many prophesies made about the Holy Land we can see that it would not be troubleless.
The Bible also prophesies that there will be conflict and trouble in Jerusalem for centuries. Zechariah 12 calls it a “burdensome stone” and says that there will never be peace there until Christ is reigning. We can see this happening today: “Jerusalem is a tinderbox that could go off at any time. All roads in our part of the world, all the conflicts, lead to Jerusalem.” (King Abdullah II of Jordan, 2010)

To find out more why the land we know as Israel today takes such a special place in the hearts of the Christadelphians, how it belongs to God, and those to whom He chooses to give it, please do find:

Why is Jerusalem always in the news?

He may found a kingdom and empire which shall be literally ‘universal’

The purpose of God in creating the world, and in bringing it to its present political constitution, by checking the full manifestation of the evil that exists, is that He may found a kingdom and empire which shall be literally ‘universal’ (Dan. 2:44; 7:14), and under the government of which all nations may be blessed (Gen. 7:3; Psa. 62:11). The Hebrew nation, established in the Holy Land, will be the kingdom (Exod. 19:5–6; Micah 4:6–8; 5:2; Ezek. 37:21–28); and all other nations the empire attached to that kingdom. The Jewish and other nations will constitute a family of nations, of which Israel will be the first-born; Abraham, the federal patriarch; and Christ, his seed, the king.
