Immanuel looking at Jewish and Christian visions

On the 30th of November a "Lastige Vragensteller" or "Troublesome Asker or Inquirer" started placing his questions and responses on WordPress. Questiontime-Vragenuurtje has already touched some controversial subjects. Querrying about this world – Deze wereld bevragend, you may find articles in English as well as in Dutch. In the articles is being looked at writings from Muslim, Christian and Jewish teachers and are those teachings from the different groups compared. Being a site for people from the Muslim community you may think it would not be interesting for Christians; Though they better look at those writing which can shed a light on what is wrong in the teachings of Muslims but also on what is wrong in the teachings of many Christian groups.



A few days later, just before the celebrations of Chanukah, Immanuel Verbondskind started a blog with similar intentions, showing the world where Jews, Christians and eventually also Muslims have different groups who often go wrong in their teachings because they are not keeping to what is really written in what they call their Holy Scriptures.

For the "Tiresome Questioner" and "Immanuel Verbondskind" it should be clear that man has to keep to the Given Word of the Most High Almighty God of gods. Both recognise that this world has many gods but that there is only One True God to Whom all people should come. It is That Almighty Elohim, they say, Who is expecting mankind to come back to Him in a restored relationship.

On both sites shall be looked at religions where their members say that they are monotheists, like the Christians say so, though lots of them worship a Trinity, and as such worshipping three gods.

For both of them it is clear that man may have drifted from the truth because they do not read the Word of God. We have to find it again. It is also the task of lovers of God to show others that Word of God and the Truth. For that reason I also want to invite you to have a look at both new sites and to thing about the material presented over there.

It might well be that you do not belong to a religious groups similar to that one of the writers,but let it not hold you back to enjoy their writing and to react there where you think it is necessary.

Not fear or dread or blind compulsion





"... when all is said and done, the true motive for getting things into the right perspective is not fear or dread or blind compulsion.

People give the Truth top priority because they love it.
Any other motive will fail and eventually the disciple becomes disgruntled and half-hearted.
But when they are love-impulsed, and inspired by what the King has done for our sakes,
they favour his cause gladly, happy to be his bond-servants and heavily weighted in his favour.
They are not dragging themselves after him, resentful and lukewarm.
They follow him with joy and give him their allegiance in the everyday things of the Truth without demur.
Loyal for love’s sake: this is the true perspective."

United people under Christ

Last week the worldcommunity saw that the one who claims to be the follower of the apostle Peter stepped down from his position on what many call the 'holy chair'.

The church community should be found on a good faith base and have clear and undeniable grounds with people who live according to community rules which are according to the Law of God. They should try to be living by the standard of the “One Body” of Christ. The Nazarene man who did not appoint one or the other above one another. Though perhaps many might think that the apostle Peter was chosen to be a leader, he certainly was not the leader of the church community at the time of the first years after Christ his death. All apostles had their particular duties but worked together and even where not afraid to criticise each other.

In the Acts of the apostles is given a very clear picture of the working of the first church as one united body in Christ. when you read the chapters you shall not find any decent reason to believe that the Pope is the real acceptable leader of the Church of God.
Could it also be that the church became subdivided into local churches but that along the way into history that church their members (of each local church) still make up the universal body of Christ? There is no one church that monopolizes the body of Christ.

History proves that contamination was brought in very soon after Jesus' death. Several apostles warned the followers of Christ to be careful and to look out for false teachings. People also had to be careful not to mingle with weak or sinful men, who would love to see them being diverted from the unworldy ideas of their religion.

Though we are never to judge or condemn others; we just have to politely “stand aside” from them!

When we look at the world we should consider that there are many people with different beliefs, but that there might be different opinions between the many persons that does not mean they would not be considered as being part of one and the same united people under Christ.

Some teach that if you are not part of this denomination or that denomination then you cannot be part of the body of Christ. There exist many denominations which believe people do have to belong to them, because otherwise they would be doomed into damnation or when people do not belong to their denomination they would not be able to enter the Kingdom of God. What most of those denomination forget is that before they came into being ther where also people who loved God as the Most High, and honoured Him at their best. Those people are also saved by Jesus his offer and got the right to enter the Kingdom of God. It is he, Jesus who shall decide who is able to enter the Kingdom of God and not one world church organisation or denomination who is going to decide that. God knows the heart of each person and He shall see if that person is worthy or not to enter the Kingdom. Jesus as the mediator shall be the person who can mediate for those who tried to do their best on earth and who followed one or another path according to a path laid in front of them by one or another denomination. but the people themselves shall have to carry the responsibility of their choice. They also shall not be able to blame their congregation or denomination for the choices they have made.
As part of the body of Christ we should be people working under the guidance of the Bible, to serve each other and the body, not taking into account language, ethnicity, gender, nationality etc. When we are unified with One Spirit in One Body that means we are unified under Gods Spirit to have and show  love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control and awareness for each other, treasuring the same hope of eternal life in Jesus Christ together with Jesus Christ in the Kingdom of his Father.

Every person has received the gifts to think and to have his mind working to find out certain things. Every person, in his or her life shall get opportunities to be able to be confronted with certain values, certain truths, certain ideas ... and shall be confronted with the possibility to make a certain choice.

It is up to us to think about our faith, about what we do want to believe and about what we do have to believe.

Every transition in a movement should be followed up and registered, looked at in function of the Will of God and the Biblical writings. They are given to us to help us to direct the right way. We should listen to the voice of God and follow the directions given in the Holy Scriptures. They should be the most important guide for our life and way of life.

The guidance from the Bible should give us insight in what the world offers, also on religious matters and on actions of faith.
We must remember that the ecclesia does not exist to keep the Truth pure as a theory (i.e., “The purer our ecclesia, the better!”). The Truth (as an abstract principle, or set of principles, communicated from God) cannot be anything but pure! It might sound strange that the ecclesia does exist to help impure men and women (with imperfect beliefs and impure ways) to move toward purity, even if their progress is slow… Some expect that the people who enter the ecclesia or church-community would be already very pure from their baptism, but that is not so. The baptism is only the starting point to the way of purity to the small gate to the Kingdom of God.

Out of love for each other each member of the ecclesia should help each other to grow and to make every day a step closer to that set-apartness or holiness of purity.

Getting to know the Truth


A question and answer television program broadcast over KAZT-TV Channel 7, in Prescott, Arizona, to over 3,000,000 homes on Sundays @ 7:30 AM. brought this question forwards:
Q. How can we know for certain what is absolutely true in Bible teaching?  Should we not just accept everyone, and not bind our views on others? 

These verses will make it clear:
John 8:32 (NAS95)
 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

 20 do not despise prophetic utterances.
 21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good;

 4:1 ¶ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

We can know the truth when we love the Word of God enough to accept it, and it alone in matters of religion.

Provocator on the market

A new season brings mostly also new things.

As you can find new programs on your television screen, you also can find new Websites on the internet.

"Stepping Toes" does not mind being a little devil in a box.

The Christadelphian community often gets questions in their box about heavily discussed cases or matters, were a lot do not want to burn their fingers. But also non believing persons do dare to question the sayings of believers that there would be existing a God. Therefore the Christadelphians on Xanga would not mind going deeper into that matter, questioning if it could be possible that there is a God who made all the things around us. And when there would exist such a God, what we do have to think about Him and how we have to cope with Him.

The website is also not to be afraid to look at certain sayings, like that this God has three faces or is a man or is a woman. It shall look at those gods God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, and find out what those people say about themselves and about the others. the Website shall not be afraid to reveal what the Books do say of those people who way that they believe in the Real God, if that one does exist.

To provoke, to call forth, evoke feelings is what the site Stepping Toes does want to do. It shall not go out the way to question the feelings we would like to share. It wants to challenge all those ideas said by so many people of so many different believes.

There are so many gods and so many religions, and we cannot escape the remark that many religions caused a lot of trouble and bloodshed. Would that be what the Creator of the heaven and earth wanted? Is this what a loving father would let happen to his children?

All those Christians who have so many different ideas, are their ideas grounded in an acceptable Truth?

"Stepping Toes" wants those who say they believe call to action. They want to excite those who want to know and want to bring peace over the whole earth.
You would think than that you would have to be prudent. It could be. But "Stepping Toes" is not going to be afraid to step on some toes. sometimes it can be necessary to awaken some people by purring them. A good loving purr shall not harm.

the new website came into existence because several Xanga people said things we as Christadelphians wanted to react on it, but could not because we were not a Xanga member. Becoming a member now we can reply to their postings, but took this occasion to bring ourselves also some postings and present the Xanga members with some articles with our views.

Tending or designed to give several thoughts a second opinion and to have some matters questioned the Christadelphians over there shall not quit or stay silent to anything that provokes.

How to look for and how to handle the Truth

Everybody has the task to look for the Truth. But then the first thing what we can ask is what it is.
The accuracy of adjustment or conformity. and how are we going to react to that what is true or according to the facts of the case. Then when we consider something to be in agreement with reality and with accordance with the faithful adherence to Gods nature we should put forward in good faith as what we believe from the Bible to be true.

One of the truths lots of Christians take is that Jesus died, but then they see it as he died for them and that they are saved by faith in that. But are they? Does this fact negate other facts, that there is only one truth for example?
