Bible sayings about God

To get to know who God is and what exactly is being said about Him, we may well depend on what is written in the Holy Scriptures or the Bible.

If we are talking here about God, we mean the Creator God who is the God of gods and may be called as One True God we all must recognise as such. The works of creation provide evidence of the existence of an intelligent God Who created everything and directs everything. The Elohim Hashem Jehovah, the True God, is Almighty and All-Knowing. It is important to know his name and use it. According to the Holy Scriptures or the Bible there are other creatures, including angels and people called god. Among those gods there are people in high positions [like Pharaoh, men of God (like Moses), "gods"] (John 10:34) but also false gods (1 Corinthians 8: 5; Jeremiah 10: 14-15) or creatures that are wrongly considered to be highly regarded and worshipped (like idols). However worship belongs to the One True God. Worthless or false gods are powerless to help worshippers. This only the Supreme God is capable of doing so. (Habakkuk 2:18; Jeremiah 14:22)

Jehovah Himself is Justice and not the cause of wickedness. (Psalm 145: 17; Revelation of the Apostles 15: 3). The Created human being is made in the image of God and endowed with freedom of choice. (Genesis 1: 26-27; Genesis 4: 6-7; Genesis 5: 3; Genesis 9: 6; Joshua 25:15; Acts 13:48)

Jeruzalem Gods city

In the Holy Scriptures we are able to find: “but I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.” (2Ch 6:6 ASV)
“and I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, as {1} God Almighty; but {2} by my name Jehovah I was not {3} known to them. {1) Heb [El Shaddai] 2) Or [as to] 3) Or [made known]}” (Ex 6:3 ASV)
God His name is Jehovah (or Yahweh).  This name is literal written on the mountain, on which Israels built is!  A guide from Israel (that also is a pilot ), has made the photograph (below) from the airplane.  In perfect Hebrew, we can see quite clear written left in the middle on the mountain  the name of God!
Also with this it could be a proof that God only is the creator of heaven and earth and that Jerusalem is His city Halleluja!  Glory to God!

Use of /Gebruik van Jehovah or/of Yahweh in Bible Translations/Bijbel vertalingen

2 And God went on to speak to Moses and to say to him: “I am Jehovah. 3 And I used to appear to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as God Almighty, but as respects my name Jehovah I did not make myself known to them.

3And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of El-Shaddai, but by my name יהוה was I not known to them? (Ex 6:3)  ... the Almighty *God; but by my name Jehovah I was not made known to them.
Ex 6:3  (CJB) I appeared to Avraham, Yitz’chak and Ya’akov as El Shaddai, although I did not make myself known to them by my name, Yud–Heh–Vav–Heh. (ADONAI)

(KUYPER).

The New Living Translation also puts between brackets: [Hebrew Yahweh; traditionally rendered Jehovah]

"God," MLXX; SamSyVg: "Jehovah."

(#Isa 42:8): 8 Ik ben Jehovah.

Hebr.: oe·sjemi’ Jehwah’; Lat.: et no’men me’um A·do·na’i.

Jehovah stond bovenaan, ...
