Being sure of their deliverance

In the old times before Christ Jesus (Jeshua) was born there were several people who believed in the Creator and his promises. They were sure that the divine Creator was with them and would continuously guide them through easy but also through difficult times.
The Holy Bible in Modern Greek translated by N...
The Holy Bible in Modern Greek translated by Neophytus Vamvas (Νεόφυτος Βάμβας): At Exodus 6:3 the divine name of God, the sacred Tetragrammaton, is rendered "Ιεοβά" (Ieová, that is "Yehova" (Eng.) or "Iehova" [Lat.], also "Ιεχωβά" [Gr.]). (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

In the Holy Scriptures we can find the Hebraic writers and the congregations of ancients who used their songs in worship to God and did not mind showing to others in Whom they believed and how He was guiding them and giving them deliverance.

Those men of God had a special relation with Him, whom they could not see. But they told others about their experience an ongoing, intimate walk with God and for that reason they could have faith in Him about their deliverance.

Psalms 32:6-11 The Scriptures 1998+:  (6)  Therefore, let every kind one pray to You While You might be found; Even in a flood of great waters They would not reach him.  (7)  You are my hiding place; You preserve me from distress; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.  (8)  “Let Me instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; Let Me counsel, My eye be on you.  (9)  Do not be like the horse, like the mule, With no understanding, with bit and bridle, Else they do not come near you.”  (10)  Many are the sorrows of the wrong; But as for the one trusting in יהוה {Jehovah}, Kindness surrounds him.  (11)  Be glad in יהוה {Jehovah} and exult, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!
Like King David those men could say these things and mean them because they like we knew they could count on the Only One God, the Elohim Hashem Jehovah. And they were willing to give their heart and soul (their whole being) onto the Eternal Creator and led them be fed by His Mighty Power the Holy Spirit.

 Today we still can look forward to the “songs of deliverance” with great joy and big expectations. For we have received the Full Grace of Salvation. By Jesus Christ the Messiah our relationship with the Creator is restored and we can go up to our Holy father in heaven. Because of the Offer of Jeshua (Jesus Christ) we have received the  proffered gift of salvation and presence with and friendship with Jehovah for all eternity. though we still may do faults we can count on it that we can get forgiveness of sins through Jesus the Messiah, who is the son of God, the only human being who resisted all evil and who managed to stay clean in the eyes of God, always doing the will of his Father above his own will.

God took care that we still can read the old songs of deliverance and we too can use them. Therefore take up the Bible and use those songs and prayers to worship the Only One God and show your thanks for His blessings.

Not all will inherit the Kingdom

(1 Corinthians 6:9-11) 9 What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God's kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, 10 nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God's kingdom. 11 And yet that is what some of YOU were. But YOU have been washed clean, but YOU have been sanctified, but YOU have been declared righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God.

Jesus said that we must, first of all,  take in knowledge of both "the only true God" and the one that he sent forth:
(John 17:3) 3 This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.
Therefore we do have to work, because taking in knowledge does not go from itself. First we have to get to know Jehovah, the Elohim and we have to believe fully in Him. We also do have to believe in God's Plan for sending His promised Saviour, the Messiah Jesus Christ, the Nazarene whom  Jehovah provided as our ransom sacrifice:

(John 3:16) 16 "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.
In case we want to be called Christians, we do have to follow Jesus, which mean that we should do that what he said that we must do. He gave several tasks to his disciples, and when we want to be a disciple of Christ, it means those wishes of Christ are also fro us. Also did he urge to do  the will of his Father who was in heaven:
(Matthew 7:21) 21 "Not everyone saying to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.

Jesus here gives a hint that perhaps many may call themselves disciples of him, but would not be recognised as such by him. Namely those who not imitate Christ, obey not his commands, and shall not enter the Kingdom. Only those who follow the commandments (=do that work) and live by his teachings shall be saved and be able to enter God's Kingdom. What Jesus put first in the model prayer was that we should pray for the Father's name to be sanctified, and our attitude of, and reverence for that name is of paramount importance. so we do have to work on that attitude.

(Malachi 3:16-18) 16 At that time those in fear of Jehovah spoke with one another, each one with his companion, and Jehovah kept paying attention and listening. And a book of remembrance began to be written up before him for those in fear of Jehovah and for those thinking upon his name. 17 "And they will certainly become mine," Jehovah of armies has said, "at the day when I am producing a special property. And I will show compassion upon them, just as a man shows compassion upon his son who is serving him. 18 And YOU people will again certainly see [the distinction] between a righteous one and a wicked one, between one serving God and one who has not served him."
(Romans 9:17) 17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: "For this very cause I have let you remain, that in connection with you I may show my power, and that my name may be declared in all the earth."
(Romans 10:13) 13 For "everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved."
This latter verse is a quote from Joel 2:32:
(Joel 2:32) 32 And it must occur that everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will get away safe; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will prove to be the escaped ones, just as Jehovah has said, and in among the survivors, whom Jehovah is calling."

We need to associate with God's people, as Christians in the first century did, however Jesus said that along with the "wheat" there would also be mixed in with them the "weeds". So we have to examine the beliefs of those we consider to associate with to see if these are in harmony with the Bible.

We need to obey the Christ. He gave all true Christians a commission, as recorded at Matthew 28:19,20, and that is what Christians do. Another example of a command that we obey is found at Acts 15:28. We should use God's name, preach to our neighbours about God's Kingdom, teach interested ones free of charge about what God requires of us, and practice what the bible teaches everyday in such things as the sanctity of blood and the right way of living.

Love been perfected with us

1 John 4:17 In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him.

Thoughts
Phil Ware    Because of what Jesus has done for us, when we live for God lovingly, we can have confidence in the face of death and before God at judgment. Our confidence is not in our efforts, but in our Savior. His love has not only redeemed us; it has changed us. His love is not only a gift to us, but it is a gift through us. We can be confident because we know that Jesus' life is present in us until we can stand with him in the presence of our Father.
Prayer
    Holy Father, thank you for the power to love others. Thank you for the confidence your love gives me. You have done so much to save me. Thank you for your loving grace. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Self-preservation is the highest law of nature

"Self-preservation is the highest law of nature;
self-sacrifice is the highest rule of grace ..."
- Unknown

"Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends."
John 15:13

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,
(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,)
full of grace and truth."
John 1:14

I am grateful that Jesus sacrificed himself for us.
I ask you God that I will become like Christ
and that I always will sacrifice myself for others.

God's Special Gift

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood,
to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past,
through the forbearance of God;
To declare, [I say], at this time his righteousness:
that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.” (Ro 3:23-26 AV)

“For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.” (Ro 7:14 AV)

BIBLE STUDY
Title: God's Special Gift

Topic(s): Salvation, God's Love
Scripture: Romans 3:23-26

What do you associate with Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries and lots of other special occasions? If you said "gifts," 99 percent of the rest of our society would probably agree with you. Gifts are one of the ways most of us show we care about someone.

But no one has ever given a gift that is as special as the one God gave. This gift came through His Son, Jesus Christ. Let's take a closer look at what God's Word says about this gift.

What Does God Say?

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus (Romans 3:23-26).

* Who needs God's gift?
* What does this gift prove about God?
* How would you explain to someone the way to receive this gift?

My Thoughts

God's gift is free, but it's not cheap. It cost the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ. It was Christ's blood that redeemed us. The word redeemed means "to buy back." It's used to describe paying a ransom for someone's release. Sin had held us captive. It held us under its control (Romans 7:14). But Jesus paid the ransom price and set us free.

This allowed God to be both "just and the justifier." For God to have ignored our sins would make Him unjust. He would be violating His own laws. But Jesus became a propitiation through His blood. The word propitiation means "to satisfy." To maintain God's justice, the Law had to be met. Jesus satisfied that Law through His death.

My Part

Take a piece of paper and divide it in half. On one half, label it "Mankind" and list all the ways people try to pay for their sins. On the other half, list The way God has paid for our sins. Which way have you chosen?

God demonstrates his own love

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Dutch version / Nederlands > God bewees ons zijn liefde

Thoughts
    Interestingly, the Bible doesn't ever just say that God loves us. Instead, it says: "God demonstrated his love..." "In this is love, not that we loved God but that God loved us and gave..." "For God so loved the world that he gave..." Love is more than emotion or intention. True love, redemptive love, God-styled love is active; it does something. For us, Jesus did also more than something; he sacrificed everything. What's more, he did it when we most needed it. He demonstrated his love when we were sinners!

Prayer
    Father, thank you for loving me. I love you. I love you for what you've done. I love you for who you are. I love you for your promises. I love you for your faithfulness. Most of all, dear Father, I love you because of Jesus who showed me just how much you love me. Please empower me to show my love by serving and giving to others as Jesus did. In his name I pray. Amen.
