Prayer Bible verses to help us to get a deeper conversation with God

Many people consider Jesus to be God and as such Jesus praying to himself. Though Jesus did not pray to himself but to his heavenly Father which he considered to be greater than Him. Jesus very well knew he could not do much without his heavenly Father. Consider the two scriptures that follow, as they relate to personal prayer times of the one sent by God to the earth to declare Him.

Luke 6:12: One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.
Matthew 14:23: After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone.
All who love God and want to follow Christ Jesus should remember that he asked his followers to pray to his Father and to go out into the world to preach the gospel of the coming Kingdom of God.
Every follower of Christ should consider setting aside a time and place for continuous and uninterrupted prayer. Each of us should make it a discipline that can not, and will not be interrupted.

Some may find that prayer can be exhausting, so it should not be something that will take away from themselves freshness of intimacy with God. Therefore they better can take some time for themselves remembering some prayer verses which were given by the master teacher himself and by his disciples of the first hour.

Prayer Bible Verses
· 1 Chronicles 16:11
Look to the Most High God Jehovah and His strength; seek His face always.
· Psalm 4:1
Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer.
· Psalm 145:18
The Elohim Hashem Jehovah is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
· Proverbs 15:29
The Elohim Hashem Jehovah is far from the wicked but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
Let us also remember
· Matthew 7:11
If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
and follow the example of the master teacher
· Luke 6:12
One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.
· Luke 18:1
Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.
We also may be assured that God is there for those who call unto Him.
· Romans 8:26
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
· Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
When taking time for prayer we should not mind all sorts of way to come into a good conversation with our heavenly Father. We also should not do it once in a while but regularly.
· Colossians 4:2
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

· 1 Thessalonians 5:17
pray continually;
· 1 Timothy 2:8
I want men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands
It must comfort us that we can speak to the Most High Divine Creator. Jesus has prepared the way to Him and restored the relationship with God. We also now have Jesus as the mediator between man and God and can count on him.
· Hebrews 4:14
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.
· James 1:7
That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord;
· James 4:3
When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
· James 5:16
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
· 1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Believing what Jesus says

How many people are really willing to believe what Jesus says. In Christendom we do find many Christians who prefer to keep to the traditional doctrines of the doctrinal churches, instead of willing to take the words of the Bible like they are written there.

The barrier to fully accepting Jesus’ words is the cost involved in following him and his teachings. To follow his teachings, and the teaching of the Bible at large, requires a different type of focus. That is, one not focussed upon material or present benefits, but rather upon following the truths of God no matter what the present cost, because something far greater has been purposed and promised by God.
You as a Christian or as a unbeliever, what do you want to come to believe? Where do you want to put your focus?

What does it mean to you when Jesus says God is greater than him? What does it mean when he says we do have to pray to God his Father and do not may worship him, but should give all honour to the Only One Divine God, Creator of heaven and earth?

Jesus concentrated himself on the words and works of his heavenly Father and asked others not to focus on his (Jesus) works, because he (Jesus) could do nothing without his Father. Jesus his focus was on his heavenly Father who had appeared above him and had spoken "This is my beloved son." How many Christians are willing to accept those words of God Who spoke about His only begotten son?

Do you want to focus on the doctrines of the many churches, or are you willing to focus on the Word of God as it is presented to the world in the Bible?

Exceeding Great and Precious Promise

Exceeding Great and Precious Promise

"For your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matt. 6:32,33

Let us seek the Kingdom as the preeminent matter of our lives. . . . If seeking the Kingdom seems to hinder some of our earthy prospects, so much the better. The Master said it must cost us our all. R5048:c2,p5 If the Kingdom was made first, all their earthly needs would be supplied. R5917:c2,p4

Never too late to start going to the right end

Never too late to start going to the right end

"It's hard to follow God closely when your eyes are focused on everyone else around you."
- Unknown

When God turns away from us because of selfishness, it is not rejection.
Rather, it is an invitation to follow Him to a place we would rather not go.
- Brennan Manning

Who needs fathers? We all do.
We especially need our Father in heaven, who forgives our parenting inadequacies for Jesus’ sake
and who enables us each day with a fresh start.
Just as the loving father in Luke’s gospel welcomed home his lost son,
our Father will one day welcome us … together with all others who love and trust in Jesus.
- Dr. Rodney Rathmann

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds."
Hebrews 10:23-24

"Though no one can go back and make a brand new start,
anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending."
- Carl Brand

It's never too late to start doing what is right.
- Charles Swindoll

"Only those who have the patience to do simple things perfectly
will acquire the skill to do difficult things easily."
- Johann Friedrich von Schiller

"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature;
the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."
2 Corinthians 5:17

"He was made king, however, and returned home.
Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money,
in order to find out what they had gained with it.
"The first one came and said, 'Sir, your ten minas has earned ten more.'
"'Well done, my good servant!' his master replied.
'Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.'"
Luke 19:15-17

A lot happens around me, Lord.
Always let me see clearly and separate good things from bad things.
Make that I can work daily on myself and my environment
so that they and I may make it to a successful end.

He who cannot forgive breaks the bridge over which he himself must pass

He who cannot forgive breaks the bridge over which he himself must pass!
- Scott Nicholson

” Who is without sin cast the first stone”
-Jesus from Nazareth

“So shall ye say to Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren,
and their sin; for they did to thee evil: and now, we pray thee,
forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father.
And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.” (Ge 50:1)

“Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith to him, I say not to thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.” (Mt 18:21-22)

“And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” (Mt 6:12)
“For, if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:” (Mt 6:14)

Jehovah give me the strength to overcome my bad feelings and let me be forgiving to others.
So whenever I stand up to pray, that I first forgive anyone who has harmed me.

For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in loving kindness unto all them that call upon you.
Then hear you in heaven your dwelling-place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart you know; for you, even you only, know the hearts of all the children of men.
