Xanga Toe Stepper made silent

'Stepping toes' was originally a Xanga website opened on the 28th of September 2011, but in the Summer 2013 Xanga changed its policy and the Christadelphians had to find a solution for recovering their texts on October 6 of 2013.

The reason why the Christadelphians started a Xanga site was because they were confronted with a lot of wrong sayings on several Xanga sites about serious Bible Students, Jehovah Witnesses and Christadelphians or Brothers in Christ. Because they could not react to certain writings on Xanga, because  to reply the person had to be a member and some writings on the Xanga sites could use some reactions from outside the Christadelphians decided to put on their boots and join the community.

I and and the Christadelphians knew it would not be a place where many writings from our site would be placed on the net. We had our hands full already with other websites and other real life stuff, printing work and distribution of hard copy magazines.

In the recent previous years we saw many changes in the bloggers world. Also in the system of communicating with each other many changes came very quickly. I still remember to be one of the earlier messengusers having a @messengeruser.com account which later became the better know @hotmail.com account, which still many use today but also has been changed to @outlook.com accounts, and the messenger gave way to the more succesfull Skype.

The "Stepping toes" site got his name from the Dutch saying “Op de tenen stappen” or “Stepping on the toes” being the figuratively  “to thread on a person’s toes” or making that somebody carries a chip on the shoulder.

At the time we did hope that the visitors on that site would not be to quickly to take offence, but would be brought to think about serious and debatable matters. We knew that the matters which we brought forward on that site were texts which could cause commotion, hence the name.

It is our awareness that people like to hold fast on tradition and want to keep to certainties which are given from one generation onto the other. We know that certain ideas we share, are not favoured by so many. First of all do we love and honour only One God, who we want to address to with His Name. And that Name is one which frightens a lot of people. Once people do hear the Name of that Creator they also often of only one denomination in christianity, forgetting that there are (luckilly) more denominations which use that Sacred Name of God.

People are easily put out when they hear whom we adhere.
But we are also sure that the die is been cast and that we have come in a special time where it is more important to share our love to the whole world, like our Masterteacher Jesus/Jeshua, the Messiah did.

The man we do like to follow on this earth not only wanted that everybody knew his Father, he also proclaimed the Good News of the coming Kingdom of God and wanted that all his followers went out into the world to bring that Evangelion of good Tidings.
You could say that nobody can quarrel with such good news that Jesus of Nazareth brought, but as the world went against him so they were not pleased either with his followers.

At the time of going on the Xanga platform the Christadelphians wrote:
Now we pitch our own tents here also on this Xanga Group we do hope we shall find enough spirits eager to share their ideas and to welk along on the long road to … Tipperary and beyond. happy
Today they have to tell the readers:

From Monday 7 October we shall try to place the previous publicised articles from Xanga on some of our other websites.

Heavenly creatures do they exist

We can see people around us and some of them say they have some unseen creatures on their right and left shoulder. Some people say they have a guardian angel.

What do you believe? Are there such things which are called angels, and what or whom do they present?

Are angels imaginable creations or just figments of the artist's imagination in religious paintings down the centuries? Is there really something out there we ought to know about? Is it important to know if they exist?

Several Christians believe in good and bad angels. They think devils are angels who followed the Cherub Satan who riposted against God. If devils are angels who did not follow the Will of God, you could say that it where angels who sinned, because when we do not follow the Will of God we sin. But can angels sin?

POSSIBLE ANSWERS:

- Yes. Lucifer was an angel and he sinned.
- Angels can do nothing as they are mythological creatures.
- Angel means messenger. Human messengers can sin. Heavenly ones cannot sin.
- Angels are immortal and therefore cannot sin.
- Don't know.

We as Christadelphians believe that for everything in life we can find the answers in the Holy Scriptures. But when taking up the Bible we do have to take inconsideration what is meant by certain words.

The English word "angel" comes from the Greek angelos, which means 'messenger'. In the Old Testament, with two exceptions, the Hebrew word for "angel" is malak, also meaning 'messenger'. The prophet Malachi took his name from this word. He was himself a messenger, and he prophesied about the coming of "the messenger of the covenant", Jesus Christ (Malachi 3:1).
Although the word "angel" in the Bible, meaning a messenger, nearly always applies to heavenly beings, it can occasionally apply to human messengers. Malachi himself said a priest was a messenger (malak) of the LORD of hosts (Malachi 2:7), and in the Book of Revelation the elders of the seven churches of Asia were called angels (1:20; 2:1 etc.). But when we meet messengers doing supernatural things, there is no doubt they are heavenly beings - God's messengers, working for Him and for the ultimate benefit of mankind.
We as Christadelphians believe that God works on man's behalf through His hosts of messenger servants.

We believe that there are forces which are God's forces. They are "his angels", "his hosts", and they are "his ministers", doing His pleasure. In other words, the Only One Creator God of gods has total control over them and all other members of His creation. Those angels which have been at work on behalf of God and man "excel" in strength and they have more than enough power to complete their commissions.

Do not be afraid. Good news because a Saviour has been born

Luke 2:8-11 (34 kb)
But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people."

Luke 2:10, New International Version

Thought:

Don't be afraid! What can cast away all fear in the presence of God's glorious messengers? The joy of knowing that God has brought His son to earth to bring an end to sin and the curse of the first sin in the Garden of Eden and to bring salvation to all people!
Fear must not master our hearts when we know that God has broken through every barrier to reach us with his overwhelming grace.
We may also look up to that child in the manger that grew up to become a great teacher and an example for us.
Prayer

I praise you, Almighty God, for the gift of joy that chases away all fear. Fill my heart with that joy and fill my mind with wonder as I try to comprehend your love for me. Stir me to greater concern for those who have not heard, or who have not yet accepted, your offer of grace in your Son Jesus, in whose name I pray.
Amen.

Kill the messenger

Concerning the reaction against certain preachers and churches:

Since religion is such a personal and emotional thing, most people
resent anyone who seems to threaten their long-held religious beliefs.
This is particularly true when they are told that the very God they love
and worship is not the God of the Bible, but a God who has been
constructed by apostate Christians into a three-in-one God. Rather than
actually learn from the scripture itself about these important things,
most people would rather "kill the messenger."

Angels

ANGELS

“For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy way.  Psalm 91: 11

A.             Angels are Yahweh’s messengers that do His will.
At God’s command they protect, save, or kill.
They carry out God’s judgement upon wicked men.
Some have appeared and been seen now and then.

N.              Now salvation in Christ Jesus through God’s Word.
Is much nearer than when we first heard.
Yahweh opened our hearts in Jesus our King.
When with joy we were baptized into Him.

G.              God’s angels minister to our needs each day.
As we worship Him, study, preach and pray.
We each have an angel by our side.
Though unseen by us they help and guide.

E.              Eternity in paradise on earth is God’s prize.
Seen by our faith and through spiritual eyes.
Jesus the King will receive power and praise.
Adored by angels, and those God will raise.

L.              Look and follow Jesus He is The Way.
He will grant us eternity on judgement day.
Remain in God’s love, your future is sure.
Changed & immortal like angels, if we endure.

     S.          Salvation from Yahweh by His son, only Him.
Because of obedience to Christ Jesus our King.
Our future transformation from the world we hate.
Ministering angels will protect us as we wait.

“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when The Lord Jesus shall be revealed
from heaven with His mighty angels.” 2 Thessalonian 1: 7
