Praying to see troubles in the proper perspective

I pray to see my troubles in the proper perspective.
I know that, as I have suffered, others have suffered and still suffer more.
I pray that I may help to relieve their pain. Amen

Not fear or dread or blind compulsion

"... when all is said and done, the true motive for getting things into the right perspective is not fear or dread or blind compulsion.
It is the master principle of love.

People give the Truth top priority because they love it.
Any other motive will fail and eventually the disciple becomes disgruntled and half-hearted.
But when they are love-impulsed, and inspired by what the King has done for our sakes,
they favour his cause gladly, happy to be his bond-servants and heavily weighted in his favour.
They are not dragging themselves after him, resentful and lukewarm.
They follow him with joy and give him their allegiance in the everyday things of the Truth without demur.
Loyal for love’s sake: this is the true perspective."

Two sides to every story

"For the word of the LORD is right;
and all his works are done in truth.
He loves righteousness and judgment:
the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD."
Psalm 33:4-5

"There are two sides to every story. This holds true as I look upon the world that we live in. In the light of the current world events, many have developed a grim perspective of our society and our world. Many times the news media presents current events in such a way that there will seem to be no hope.

David reminds us in verse 5 of Psalm 34 that the earth is FULL of the goodness of the Lord.

Although the news media may show us the dark side of the story, there is another side of the story.

God is still in control. He provides wonderful rays of hope in every sunset and through every rainbow.

Yes, there are two sides to every story. Which side do you choose to believe?
