Veranderingskracht
Elkeen van ons heeft zelf het grootste deel van zijn of haar leven in handen.
Het is wat wij doen met de gaven die wij van nature hebben meegekregen dat ons verder levensverloop mee zal bepalen.

Dank aan de Vader dat Hij nooit moe wordt Zijn kinderen van alles te geven
Ze gingen het huis binnen en vonden het Kind met Maria, zijn moeder.
Ze wierpen zich neer om het eer te bewijzen. Daarna openden ze hun
kistjes met kostbaarheden en boden het Kind geschenken aan: goud en
wierook en mirre (Matthéüs 2 vers 11). .
Dank U, Vader, dat U nooit moe wordt uw kinderen van alles te geven.
Wij danken U voor het geschenk van het leven.
Wij danken U voor het geschenk van verlossing door Jezus Christus.
Wij danken U voor het geschenk om terug te kunnen geven wat wij zelf hebben ontvangen.
Daarom, Vader, aanvaarden wij het geschenk van het leven.
Daarom aanvaarden wij het geschenk van Christus' verlossing.
Wij aanvaarden het geschenk van de mogelijkheid U alles terug te geven wat wij eerder van U ontvingen.

Het ligt aan onszelf wat wij willen maken van het leven. Ook al zijn wij verbonden aan de eigenheden van de dag kunnen wij ons op ons eigen wijze door alle moeilijkheden of crisissen werken.

Op zowel een persoonlijk als globaal niveau, crisis is overal. Soms moeten we wakker geschud worden. Deze persoonlijke-globale dooreenschudding, volgens de Grootmoeders, is slechts een symptoom van het herschikken van yin en yang.

Secularisatie, materialisme, atheïsme en Evangelie van het Leven
Vincent Kemme geeft op Radio Maria (Nederland & Vlaanderen) een lezingreeks over de Verkondiging van het Evangelie van het Leven.
Hij spreekt ook over de God waarvan sommige mensen niet weten of Hij bestaat. Hij vraagt zich op 14 september hoe het (katholieke) geloof antwoord op Secularisatie, materialisme, atheïsme
en bespreekt of het geloof een relevantie is voor ons leven. Kan de mens de juiste oplossingen vinden voor zijn leven. Wat kan het antwoord zijn van hen die het geloof beleven en aanhangen? Ook gaat hij nader in op de agnostiek en het atheïsme, oorzaak en verband van secularisatie.
Christus wordt volgens hem gemythologiseerd en van zijn goddelijkheid ontdaan. De theologie wordt volgens hem aangepast aan de menselijke maat.Volgens hem wordt de taal en de moraal aangepast aan de tijdsgeest.
Men kan ook mensen vinden die willen opsluiten in hun eigen gelijk en de dialoog verspelen door hun te strakke (rechtse) houding.
Door de secularisatie zijn er ook mensen die op zoek zijn gegaan naar de essentie van het menselijk bestaan en het godsgeloof. Deze mensen trachten te leven vanuit hun geloof en treden de postmoderne samenleving toe en zoeken oplossingen voor de noden van deze tijd terwijl ze kracht putten uit de kracht van Jezus Christus.
Tijdens zijn slot gaat hij ook in op het beroven van het leven en de cultuur van het leven. Het leven van zijn waardigheid beroven blijkt volgens hem een gevolg van die secularisatie.
Reeds in een vroeger uitzending haalde Vincent Kemme aan dat het besef van onze oorsprong ons een hoog zelfbeeld geeft waarbij ieder van ons is geschapen naar Gods beeld en gelijkenis. Daarom staat het vast dat elke mens een unieke icoon van God is die om zichzelf gewild is.
Zij die geloven beseffen dat ieder kind dat geboren wordt uiteindelijk van God komt. Het is God die dat kind in het bestaan geroepen heeft, zelfs als dat kind niet onder ideale omstandigheden ter wereld komt. We kunnen daarbij denken aan kinderen die het gevolg zijn van ‘een ongelukje’, of van kunstmatige bevruchting, of zelfs van verkrachting. God heeft in Zijn schepping iets gelegd dat fundamenteel ‘goed’ is, zo goed dat zelfs indien wij onverantwoord handelen er nog iets fundamenteel goeds uit voort kan komen.
Volgens Kemme is anticonceptie een tegen het beeld van God in gaan, een lelijke kras op ene prachtige icoon, een aantasting van het goddelijke, het sacramentele, in de relatie tussen man en vrouw.
Eerbied voor het menselijk leven in wording moet geworteld zijn in een besef waar wij vandaan komen en waar wij naartoe gaan.
Moet men door gaan met een studie voor huisarts als men geen conceptiepil wil voorschrijven? stelt een bezorgde schoonmoeder van een student huisarts.
Dit zijn de vragen waar het om draait in deze tijd. Kemme denkt dat men wel huisarts moet worden maar in contact moet nemen met hen die lid zijn van de medische ethiek. Als Katholieke artsen moet er een helder beeld gevormd worden. Het zou niet mogen dat er geen Katholieke huisartsen zouden zijn.
Er zijn nog heruitzendingen, zo kan u deze en volgende uitzendingen nog aanhoren. Het vervolg komt op 21 september met: Redenen om te geloven in het evangelie van het leven (volgens de leer van de kerk). En als laatste deel komt op 28 september: Hoe beleven we het evangelie in de praktijk, privé, professioneel, maatschappelijk en kerkelijk?

Mogelijkheid tot leven
Zij die in het Boek der Boeken kijken en de uitdaging aan gaan om tijd te nemen om dit Woord van God te bestuderen kunnen er zeker van zijn dat God naar beneden kijkt. Hij wil weten of er zulke zijn die van Zijn Woorden houden, deze willen aanhoren, ze ook echt willen begrijpen, ze opvolgen, en mensen die Hem echt willen zoeken.
In deze wereld kunnen wij als een gevangene voelen, met onze handen gebonden, in een soort van gevangenis. Wij kunnen ons verlaten voelen, of alleen en vergeten voelen. Maar God vergeet u niet. Hij is in Zijn Creatie geïnteresseerd en is gewillig zich aan te bieden naar diegene die Hem willen vinden. Ook voor hen die klaar zijn Zijn zoon aan te nemen strekt Hij Zijn hand uit naar deze wereld.
In het Boek, het Woord van God kunnen wij een Nieuw Testament vinden dat ons over de Nieuwe Overeenkomst, het Nieuwe Verbond en over die ene persoon vertelt die zijn leven voor iedereen gaf. Door het geven van zijn leven ontvangen wij de mogelijkheid om te leven.
Ook al kunnen wij zo verschillend van ras zijn dat ons een studie in verscheidenheid kan voorschotelen, mogen wij ons ondersteunen in een verbazingwekkende variatie van mogelijkheden.
Of wij nu een van de 6.000 talen spreken kunnen wij door het luisteren naar de Woorden van God en door ze toe te passen toch nog gelijk worden. Al de gedeelde gemeenschappelijke aangelegenheden, behoeften, verlangens, maar ook die moeilijkheden rondom ons en verleidingen, zijn uiteindelijk dan gedeelde smarten waar wij elkaar ook oplossingen voor kunnen geven.
De wil om tot economische veiligheid en tevredenstellend werk te komen is iets algemeens voor de mens. Iedereen op deze aarde verlangt naar veiligheid op alle gebied. En de meesten wensen niet enkel dat geluk voor zichzelf alleen, maar ook voor hun partner, hun kinderen en kleinkinderen. En zij die de mensen lief hebben verlangen ook dat hun gehele omgeving in geluk mag baden, van welstand en vrede.
Als wij het Woord van God ons eigen maken kunnen wij het ook gemakkelijker met anderen delen, door de standvastigheid en bedrevenheid van ons geloof.
De voor ons zo nodige vriendschap en steun van en aan anderen kunnen wij delen met anderen. Wij gedijen op menselijk contact en liefde. Jong of oud, koesteren wij goede gezondheid.
In deze wereld mogen wij vertoeven en kunnen wij het geluk hebben dat wij met elkaar kunnen delen.
Het regelmatig doornemen van de Bijbel geeft ons de kans advies aangeboden te krijgen dat ons verder helpt om de taaie economische voorwaarden van heden te overleven. door regelmatig de Bijbel te bestuderen kunnen wij die Bijbelse principes herkennen die ons kunnen helpen voorkomen onnodig te lijden. De bijbel brengt de de principes naar voor waar wij moeten mee akkoord gaan indien wij voorgoed onder de regel van het beloofde koninkrijk van God wensen te leven. De Bijbel kan onze leven verbeteren en op weg helpen om zelf beter te worden en anderen het ook beter te laten hebben.
Wij kunnen anderen uitnodigen om ook die kennis te delen en samen rond de tafel te zitten om Jezus te herinneren. Laten wij allen samen God zoeken en met Jezus op stap gaan om deze Almachtige Vader te naderen.

Possibility to live
Those who look into the Book of Books and dare to take time to study this Word of God may be sure that God is looking down. He wants to know if there are any who would like to understand His Words, any who really want to seek Him.
In this world we can feel captive, hands tied, in a kind of prison. We can feel left alone, forgotten. But God does not forget you. He is interested in His Creation and is willing to come forward to those who want to find Him. Also for those who are ready to accept His son He is reaching His hand out to this world.
In the Word of God we can find a New Testament, the Book that tells us about the New Covenant and about that one person who gave his life for everybody. By giving his life we receive the possibility to live.
We are here to leave our loads, safe in fellowship, in love, centred around the huge love God shows us through His son. So, let’s try to leave our loads in the left luggage office, so we can enjoy the blessings God gives us, Rob Clements exhorted the Horley Christadelphians last Sunday.

He who did not spare His own son, but gave him up for us all.”

Power in the life of certain
The human race is a study in diversity. —We are a fascinating collection of different shades, different shapes, different sizes. —We support ourselves in an amazing variety of ways. —We speak to our loved ones in over 6,000 tongues.—Yet, we are far more alike than different.
We share common concerns, needs, desires. We want economic security and satisfying work. We want our marriages to be happy. We want the best for our children. We want them to be close to us. We want them to share our values, to be safe and secure. Also we need friendship and support from others. We thrive on human contact and love. Young or old, we cherish good health. Far too often though, these desires go unfulfilled.
Children come to reject parental values and standards. Marital bliss turns into marital distress. Making a living becomes a stressful ordeal. Despite high-tech medicine, illness and death eventually conquer us all. Most people feel powerless to improve their lot in life. However there is something that can make a difference, something that has given millions of people hope, and has empowered them to change their lives for the better. Something that can make a difference in your life.
The Bible– Its Power In Your Life.
Many acknowledge the Bible as a literary masterpiece, but it is much more than that. It is the most widely circulated book in existence. Over 90% of the population of our planet have access to it. More than any other book, the Bible has the power to change people's lives, As the Bible itself says: "The word of God is alive and exerts power . . ." [Hebrews 4:12] But if this is true, then why do so many problems plague mankind? How could the Bible have the solutions to mankind's difficulties when so many of those who claim to believe in it are unfulfilled and unhappy? The World Council of Churches reports: "There is frightening and growing ignorance of the Bible in all sections of western society." Bible Societies estimate that 85% of western `Christians' have never read the whole Bible. Regrettably, many who do read the Bible simply do not understand it. God's word thus has little impact on the lives of most who claim to believe in it.
Do you understand the Bible? Do you read it?
In Belgium not many persons do take up the Book they consider just difficult to read imaginative literature or old fashioned poetry.
Are there people interested to know more about that Word of God?
Are it only Jehovah's Witnesses who have unlocked the Bible's power and put it to work in their lives. They are known the world over as students of the Bible, but they are not the only ones.
In Belgium you also can find serious Bible researchers, people who do love to read and study the Bible, recognising that it is the invaluable Word of God, which can show us the Way to Live for ever.
We have the firm conviction that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God.
"The Bible that we have today, is referred to by many as a divine library, a collection of sacred writings, undertaken by about 40 different men over a period of 1,500 years. Some of these writers were shepherds, fishermen, and even a physician. Remarkably though, the Bible is one harmonious book, united by a single theme, God's Kingdom. The book that we have today, called `The Bible' is a reliable library of divine information. "
By conforming to God's Law book, the Bible, not only millions of Jehovah's Witnesses have transformed their lives. Before that organisation the world could already find serious Bible Students with a.o. Thomasites or Christadelphians.
All those who looked into the Word of God to find teachings and inspiration where helped by those words in the 66 books of the Bible, in three arias: Family Life, Economics, and Health.
Bible Students as the Christadelphians are also convinced that the Bible offers any advice that can help you survive today's tough economic conditions and that there are Bible principles that can help prevent needless suffering.
The Bible has the power to change lives. But it does more than just give practical advice. The Bible is the law book of God's Kingdom. It sets forth the principles we must adhere to if we are to live forever under that kingdom's rule.
The Bible can improve our lives. Yet, as the apostle Paul wrote: "All creation keeps on groaning together, and being in pain." Faithful servants of God are not spared the ravages of illness, or the aches and pains of old age. But they are sustained by faith in the future blessings from God's Kingdom. The words of Job 33:25 will then be fulfilled on a grand scale. "Let his flesh become fresher than in youth. Let him return to the days of his youthful vigour."

Many acknowledge the Bible as a literary masterpiece, but it is much more than that. It is the most widely circulated book in existence. Over 90% of the population of our planet have access to it. More than any other book, the Bible has the power to change people's lives, As the Bible itself says: "The word of God is alive and exerts power . . ." [Hebrews 4:12] But if this is true, then why do so many problems plague mankind? How could the Bible have the solutions to mankind's difficulties when so many of those who claim to believe in it are unfulfilled and unhappy? The World Council of Churches reports: "There is frightening and growing ignorance of the Bible in all sections of western society." Bible Societies estimate that 85% of western `Christians' have never read the whole Bible. Regrettably, many who do read the Bible simply do not understand it. God's word thus has little impact on the lives of most who claim to believe in it.
Do you understand the Bible? Do you read it?
In Belgium not many persons do take up the Book they consider just difficult to read imaginative literature or old fashioned poetry.
Are there people interested to know more about that Word of God?
Are it only Jehovah's Witnesses who have unlocked the Bible's power and put it to work in their lives. They are known the world over as students of the Bible, but they are not the only ones.
In Belgium you also can find serious Bible researchers, people who do love to read and study the Bible, recognising that it is the invaluable Word of God, which can show us the Way to Live for ever.
We have the firm conviction that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God.

Some of these writers were shepherds, fishermen, and even a physician. Remarkably though, the Bible is one harmonious book, united by a single theme, God's Kingdom. By conforming to God's Law book, the Bible, not only millions of Jehovah's Witnesses have transformed their lives. Before that organisation the world could already find serious Bible Students with a.o. Thomasites or Christadelphians.
All those who looked into the Word of God to find teachings and inspiration where helped by those words in the 66 books of the Bible, in three arias: Family Life, Economics, and Health.
Bible Students as the Christadelphians are also convinced that the Bible offers any advice that can help you survive today's tough economic conditions and that there are Bible principles that can help prevent needless suffering.
The Bible has the power to change lives. But it does more than just give practical advice. The Bible is the law book of God's Kingdom. It sets forth the principles we must adhere to if we are to live forever under that kingdom's rule.
The Bible can improve our lives. Yet, as the apostle Paul wrote: "All creation keeps on groaning together, and being in pain." Faithful servants of God are not spared the ravages of illness, or the aches and pains of old age. But they are sustained by faith in the future blessings from God's Kingdom. The words of Job 33:25 will then be fulfilled on a grand scale. "Let his flesh become fresher than in youth. Let him return to the days of his youthful vigour."

Younger generation increasingly pro-life
Polling data, record crowds at the 2009 and 2010 March for Life in Washington, and a steep increase in the number of student pro-life groups over the past four years provide evidence that those born between the late 1970s and late 1990s are more pro-life than the baby boomer generation.
“Communications technology through organizations like Live Action, Students for Life and Catholic Vote are giving us terrific images that we know are changing hearts,” says Steve Phelan, communications manager for Human Life International.

Een te begrijpen oproep
"'Volg mij' zei de Koning.
De oproep is zo eenvoudig kinderen kunnen het begrijpen.
Haar betekenis is zo subliem dat geen filosoof al was hij ooit zo knap, de oneindige betekenis van het mysterie kan uitstoten — zijn genie.
Het is niet ellende — het is vreugde.
Het is niet twijfel — het is overtuiging.
Het is niet angst — het is gezegende verzekering.
Volgelingen zijn aandeeldienaars maar ook vrienden die de wens van hun Meester weten.

Separation from God in death, the antithesis of life
"My God, My God, Why Have You Forsaken Me?"
We know the passages that describe death in the Old Testament. It is sleep (Dan 12:2). It is total unconsciousness (Eccl 9:5). Death is the antithesis of life.But there is something else of the greatest importance that was central to the thinking of faithful men like David and Hezekiah:
"My soul also is greatly troubled. But you, O LORD — how long? Turn, O LORD, deliver my life; save me for the sake of your steadfast love. For in death there is no remembrance of you; in Sheol who will give you praise?" (Psa 6:3-5).
"Do you work wonders for the dead? Do the departed rise up to praise you? Selah Is your steadfast love declared in the grave, or your faithfulness in Abaddon? Are your wonders known in the darkness, or your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?" (Psa 88:10-12).
"O LORD, by these things men live, and in all these is the life of my spirit. Oh restore me to health and make me live! Behold, it was for my welfare that I had great bitterness; but in love you have delivered my life from the pit of destruction, for you have cast all my sins behind your back. For Sheol does not thank you; death does not praise you; those who go down to the pit do not hope for your faithfulness. The living, the living, he thanks you, as I do this day; the father makes known to the children your faithfulness" (Isa 38:16-19).Death completely separates man from fellowship with God. For the faithful man or woman, this is the worst possible thing that could happen. Nothing is of greater consequence. Fellowship with God is the essence of life itself.
Life derives all its meaning from our relationship with God.
The faithful man or woman, for whom fellowship with God is life’s greatest joy, shrinks from anything that severs this holy relationship. Death is an enemy indeed.
No one knew this better than the Lord Jesus Christ. His life was fellowship with the Father in a degree that we can only try to contemplate. He walked with his Father every moment of every day. And His Father walked with him. It was an earnest of the eternal joy that God set before him.
Jesus knew, of course, that he must die to put away the sin of the world. He knew that the grave would not hold him; that he must rise to life again. But this did not diminish the full awfulness of death that loomed before his face.
His words as he entered Gethsemane were an echo of Psalm 6:
"Then he said to them, ‘My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me.’
And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, ‘My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will’ " (Matt 26:38,39).May I suggest that the cup that Jesus prayed might pass from him was not just the cup of physical suffering? It was the bitter cup of death that would separate him from his Father and his God.
Where now would be his remembrance of God? Where now would be his life of praise? Could not God transfigure him, as He had once done on the holy mount, and give him immortality without the horror of even a moment’s separation between them?
Do not holy men and women think this way?
Then the ninth hour of the next day drew near: the hour of his death on the cross, the end. Jesus must have felt the last vestiges of life slipping from him:
"And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, ‘Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?’ that is, ‘My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?’ " (Matt 27:46).Why have you abandoned me to this end? You are everything to me, even life itself!
Is it not possible that this cry of Jesus simply expressed the anguish of his soul as the darkness that had settled over the land turned into the reality of his death? Heaven must have cried, too. God derives no pleasure from the death of a sinner, let alone the death of the righteous man.
In Psalm 22, the opening words of which anticipated the anguish of Jesus’ soul, the immediate context is separation from God:
"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning? O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest" (vv 1,2).In David’s case, the experience was some living death when he had sought but received no help from God; when he had prayed but gotten no answer. For Jesus, it was about to become the complete separation of death itself.
How thankful we can be that reassurance follows. God has saved the faithful before. He will do it again. He will yet be enthroned on the living praises of His people:
"Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. In you our fathers trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them. To you they cried and were rescued; in you they trusted and were not put to shame" (Psa 22:3-5).God is now forever enthroned in the praises of the Son whom He delivered from the darkness of death. But for a little while their fellowship was severed. The separation of the Father and the Son by his death was a tragedy of the ages. It was not because of anything he had done. Our sins made it happen. Hear his cry from the cross and be ashamed. God forgive us!

Created to live in relation with God
We have been created to live in a relation with God. However once when we have experienced a relation with God, the meaning and the sense of life becomes us clear. We see matters that we never saw before and we will be very dumb to want to turn back to the old life.
The life without a relation with God is as a television without antenna. Some men are reasonably satisfied with the image of their live, because they do not realize that they can get a much better image. A clear image with which you can see the life much sharper and clearer. What a shame!

Geschapen om te leven in relatie met God
Wij zijn geschapen om te leven in een relatie met God. Wanneer we echter eenmaal een relatie met God ervaren hebben, worden de betekenis en de zin van ons leven duidelijk. We zien dingen die we nog nooit eerder hebben gezien en we zouden wel erg stom zijn om terug te willen keren naar het oude leven.
Het leven zonder een relatie met God is als een televisie zonder antenne. Sommige mensen zijn redelijk tevreden met het beeld van hun leven, omdat ze niet beseffen dat ze een veel beter beeld kunnen krijgen. Een helder beeld, waarmee je het leven veel scherper en duidelijker kunt zien. Wat een zonde!

Belief of the things that God has promised

"The first step along the way of life, ... , is belief of the things that God has promised. This is enjoined by Jesus when he gave his last commission to the apostles: "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved but he that believeth not shall be condemned " (Mark 16:15, 16). "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world" (Matt. 28:18-20). When men are so "taught" by the word of God, they manifest faith in the things He has promised. Without this faith men are not well pleasing to God (Heb. 11:6). In support of their teaching the Apostles turn to the Old Testament to find in Abraham an outstanding illustration of the way to secure God's approval. "Abraham believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness" (Gen. 15:6). The whole of the fourth chapter of Romans is devoted to unfolding the implication of this statement; and at the end of the chapter Paul declares that it was "not written for Abraham's sake alone, but for us also, to whom righteousness shall be imputed, if we believe on God" (Rom. 4:23, 24). "The gospel is the power of God unto salvation", but it is ineffective unless it is believed; so Paul adds "to everyone that believeth" (Rom. 1:16)
In Acts, Chapter 10, we read of a centurion, Cornelius, described as a devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, devoted to almsgiving and to prayer, who was told by the angel of God to send men to Joppa for Peter: "he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do" (Acts 10:6). As we think of the exemplary character of the man, judged by human standards, we might wonder what he lacked to be approved of God. His devoutness and goodness in themselves were evidently not sufficient. The phrase, "What thou oughtest to do", has the authoritative ring of a divine imperative. With the angel's assurance that he "shall tell thee words whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved" (11:14). Cornelius accordingly sent for Peter. When Peter arrived, Cornelius informed him: "We are all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God" (10:33). Peter then recounted the work of Jesus, showed that it was witnessed by the writings of the goodness and declared that "whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins" (verse 43).
When a person "believes" or has "faith" in the Bible sense, he is fully persuaded of the truth of those things which are taught in the Scriptures. Belief is based on knowledge -- in the absence of knowledge there is no true faith: and Paul makes the emphatic declaration, truly reasonable when all the facts are considered, that without faith it is impossible to please God; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Heb. 11:6). To believe He is "a rewarder" presupposes an understanding of those "exceeding great and precious promises by which we might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust" (2 Peter 1:4). "Ye are saved by grace through faith" (Eph. 2:8); for, in the words of both Old and New Testaments, "the just shall live by faith"."
