Latin America enters Vatican top

After Benedict XVI ended his troubled eight-year papacy last month, announcing he was no longer up to the rigors of the job, the Catholic Church had to look out for a new leader. Ratzinger became the first pontiff in 598 years to resign. The 115 cardinals who are younger than 80 and eligible to vote chose their new leader after two days of voting.

Yesterday, Wednesday March 13, 2013, 5 minutes past seven white smoke came out of the chimney of the Sistine Chapel, where many eyes of the world looked at. One hour later came the oldest deacon to say "Abemus Papam".

On the fifth ballot enough cardinals chose for one man to take over the duties of the retired pope Ratzinger.. The Jesuit Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Argentina, the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, took on the duty and to my mind it was the first of contemporary popes who asked the people to pray for his duties.

Coming from the Latin world which was considered a few years ago to be too rebellious this man is fully aware of the poverty of that part of the world and as such his choice of the name Franciscus (Francis), evoking the Saint of Assisi and his commitment to the poor, may be a sign of his program. It’s been more than 500 years since the first evangelization in the Latin New World, and it became high time that the Roman Catholic church showed the world that it is really a world church and not an Italian bastion.

Pope Francis, the 266th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church, is seventy-six and was born to Italian immigrant parents and was raised in the Argentine capital. He reportedly came in second when Benedict XVI was elected. He was born in Buenos Aires, in 1936. He is the first ever from what old Popes call the New World.

new-pope-francis.jpg

President Obama was among the first world leaders to congratulate Francis in a message that emphasized the pope’s humble roots and New World background.
“As a champion of the poor and the most vulnerable among us, he carries forth the message of love and compassion that has inspired the world for more than 2,000 years — that in each other we see the face of God,” Mr. Obama said in a message released by the White House.
“As the first pope from the Americas,” the president added, “his selection also speaks to the strength and vitality of a region that is increasingly shaping our world, and alongside millions of Hispanic Americans, those of us in the United States share the joy of this historic day.”

The last months we could see that there where some power struggles in the Vatican and the last few years the Catholic Church had to tackle a lot of scandals. Pope John Paul and Benedict managed to continue the conservative line and get more power to the top.  The Roman Curia needs a clean up and reform, handling the sex abuse crisis and cleaning up the Vatican bank

The Roman Catholic Church as the church in general needs people in charge that understands the problems of the church at present and take the effort to come closer to the people and their current problems.

Last day of Ratzinger as Pope Benedict XVI

For over two decades Joseph Ratzinger has dealt with the question if a pope resign. John Paul  considered retiring at 75, an ordinary bishop's retirement age, according to the best-selling book Why He Is a Saint, and discussed it with Ratzinger, but he eventually abandoned the idea of a papal retirement age,

Could it be that Ratzinger as Pope Benedict XVI has lost control?

Child abuse and the financial secret happenings should worry all believers as well as the protectionshield the Church of Rome is creating for Joseph Ratzinger. Namely, he will remain a permanent resident of Vatican City after his resignation. Doing so will offer him legal protection from any attempt to prosecute him in connection with sexual abuse cases around the world, Church sources said on Friday the 15th of February.

"His continued presence in the Vatican is necessary, otherwise he might be defenseless". announced Vatican officials.

This startling admission of guilt by the church is also a direct obstruction of justice, and lends more weight to the charge by the ITCCS and others that the Vatican has arranged with the Italian government to shield Ratzinger from criminal prosecution, in violation of international laws ratified by Italy.

The Vatican decided two weeks ago to give permanent sanctuary to a proven war criminal by allowing Joseph Ratzinger to obstruct justice and evade prosecution for crimes against humanity. And the government of Italy is colluding in this abrogation of international law.
This decision validates the claims of International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS) – Brussels, about the criminal conspiracy surrounding Ratzinger and his Vatican co-conspirators. It also makes it clear that the Vatican is a rogue power that is flaunting every law to conceal its own criminality.

Fifteen countries have now become  part of the movement against abuse, trafficking, torture and murder of children and historic genocide of indigenous peoples at the hands of European Christendom.

Kevin Annett of ITCCS says:

Protecting Ratzinger within the walls of the Vatican may halt justice for a moment, but it violates a basic rule of warfare, which is to never give your enemy a permanent focus for their attack. Ratzinger, the evil Emperor, now a permanent fixture in the Vatican? The absurdity of offering such an ongoing focus to the civilized world's hatred of catholic criminality is also a sign that the church is adrift and improvising. But it also shows how genuinely worried is the Vtaican about the legal offensive mounted by our affiliates, lawyers for torture survivors, and the International Criminal Court.

The Vatican is pulling out all stops to keep Ratzinger out of court. Their loyal, one-man owned Italian media is assaulting the crap out of yours truly and our ITCCS these days, playing the "Deny, Distract and Discredit" strategy of any damage-controlling corporation.
This Friday, California Public Television will broadcast the complete Proceedings, Evidence and Verdict of our Common Law Court of Justice, to a viewership of millions of people.
This Saturday, the ITCCS global online radio program will feature some of the Citizen Jurors who found the Pope, Queen Elizabeth and Canada guilty of Genocide – On March 2 at 4 pm EST, 9 pm GMT on www.blogtalkradio.com/wethejury

The top Catholic official in England, Cardinal Keith O'Brien, suddenly resigned this week and announced he would not vote at the Vatican Conclave on March 15 to elect a new Pope. This unprecedented defiance may indicate a collapse in the disciplinary chain of command within the church, since Cardinals' attendance at the Papal Conclave is normally mandatory.
Meanwhile, Common Law Court officers have begun to serve the Order of Compliance to the thirty officials found guilty of Crimes against Humanity last Monday, including Joseph Ratzinger, Elizabeth Windsor, top Roman Cardinals and Stephen Harper, the Prime Minister of Canada. All of the accused parties seem to be in hiding.

The Vatican has forever been an organization that is mainly, not to say only, interested in its own power and preserving its own reputation and its own finances. Already in early times it was clear that lots of people in charge prefered to be on good terms by those in power. For that reason they agreed even to Constantine and his successors to come to terms with certain Greek and philosophical teachings. Soon the so called 'Apologists' arose with the goal to blend Christianity and Greek philosophy. They said that although God was one, which Moses, Jesus and Paul unite in their testimony and can be found in many books of the Bible (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; Galatians 3:20; 2 Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:6 just to give some examples). Also on the mortality of man the church gave a twist to confirm with the powerful Roman Emprie. Genesis 2:7 and 3:19 clearly tell us that man is a material and mortal thing. Our body is corruptible and mortal (1 Corinthians 15:47,53-54) but the men in power wanted to give in into tradition and other favoured beliefs that the 'soul' and 'body' were separate things, the 'soul' being immortal. Thus Christendom, became virtually a Christianized Greek philosophy.

Throughout history the Roman Catholic Church used its power to get more power and to get more money in their banks, doing everything to secure  their power of having something to say and to dictate in the world. today nothing has changed, but some may think there is moving a lot, and even in the own ranks there is a contra movement.

Keith Porteous Wood:

The Vatican has forever been an organization that is only interested in its own power and preserving its own reputation and its own finances - it has always been thus. But with the kind off communications we have today, they can’t get away with that any longer.
I’m certainly aware of two major issues over child abuses that are going to come up and are going to be very, very hard for the Vatican to swallow. Because it is not like it is the child abuse, bad though that is, is the issue - it is actually that the finger of blame is going to be pointed at the Vatican for having obstructed justice and all the secret files that it won’t release.
So, that is going to look very, very bad, and I think people will get less and less tolerant about that. And the Vatican has shown no real sign of actually coming to terms with this, of putting its hands up and really atoning for its past sins, and being much more open and dealing more properly with victims and actually getting the people who perpetrated these crimes turned over to the police.

Resignation of Pope Benedict XVI and lightening

Dear Lovers of Truth,

This is a bit early to send, but in a week’s time the news will be stale.
The resignation of Pope Benedict XVI has come as a shock to the Vatican and Catholics generally. He has been popular with the laity and most of the clergy He has also placed relations with Israel on a better footing by rejecting “Secessionism” – which denies that Israel is “the chosen race” and therefore has no right to the Promised Land. However, since a conference he called to discuss the Middle East was held in Rome during October 2010, he has had serious opposition to this policy, as shown below:

JERUSALEM POST 23/10/2010 - In a final joint communiqué, the bishops also told Israel it shouldn’t use the Bible to justify “injustices” against the Palestinians.  The bishops issued the statement at the close of their two-week meeting, called by Pope Benedict XVI to discuss the plight of Christians in the Middle East amid a major exodus of the faithful from the region.
The Catholic Church has long been a minority in the largely Muslim region but its presence is shrinking further as a result of war, conflict, discrimination and economic problems.                                                                       .
“The Holy Scriptures cannot be used to justify the return of Jews to Israel and the displacement of the Palestinians, to justify the occupation by Israel of Palestinian lands,” Monsignor Cyril Salim Bustros, Greek Melkite archbishop of Our Lady of the Annunciation in Boston, Massachusetts, and president of the “Commission for the Message,” said at Saturday’s Vatican press conference. “We ‘Christians’ cannot speak of the ‘promised land’ as an exclusive right for a privileged Jewish people. This promise was nullified by Christ. There is no longer a chosen people – all men and women of all countries have become the chosen people. “Even if the head of the Israeli state is Jewish, the future is based on democracy. The Palestinian refugees will eventually come back and this problem will have to be solved,” the Lebanese-born Bustros said.

This brought swift condemnation from both Jewish and Fundamentalist Christian spokesmen.
Mordechay Lewy, Israel’s ambassador to the Holy See, told The Jerusalem Post that Bustros, in saying that Jesus nullified God’s covenant with the Jewish people, was “returning to secessionist theology, contradicting Second Vatican Council teaching and Pope Benedict himself – who has welcomed the return of Jews to their ancient homeland.”
“Also,” added the ambassador, “by inviting all Palestinian refugees to return and denying Israel’s right to define itself a Jewish state – the only such in the world – he is regressing to hard-line positions that deny Israel’s right to exist.”

It would appear that the next pope will have to deal with a rather divided fraternity among the cardinals and other leading clerics when dealing with weighty Middle East policies.
This is in keeping with Biblical prophecies which indicate the obstinacy that the nations will encounter when endeavouring to solve the problem of Israel - and Jerusalem in particular.
Zechariah 12:2  Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. 3  And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

Media speculation has also centred around the numerous violations by the Roman Catholic clergy perpetrated on their charges and the negative publicity resulting from it must play on the pope’s mind, especially that the investigations are now centred in Bavaria, the pope’s home country.
The shattering effect this is having on the Roman church seems the likely fulfilment of
Revelation 14: 8  And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. 9  And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10  The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

This only the beginning of troubles for the R.C.Church as there are three more judgements to follow!

NOT JUST SYRIA!
Although to slaughter and refugee situation in Syria occupies much of the Television news bulletins, similar situations are developing in most Arab countries from, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt, across Northern Africa and down to the Central African countries. The unrest and violence doesn’t stop there but is becoming world-wide.

Every day we hear of terrorists bombing innocent civilians – women and children – and then proudly owning up as the perpetrators of these horrific murders as if God Himself approved of them! They have some terrifying experiences awaiting them at the hand of the judge of all the earth!

In Bangladesh, Shri Lanka, and India thousands pour onto the streets in protest for their rights, while Pakistanis plead with their government to stop the slaughter of so many Shi’ites!
In the Pacific region China and Japan argue over almost bare islands while North Korea threatens their kinsmen in the South with annihilation from atomic bombs!

You will readily bring to mind the words of our Lord Jesus, most recorded in three of the gospels:
Luke 21:9  But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. 10  Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: 11  And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. 25  And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26  Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

The Gospel in Mark13 has these words as well:
Mark 13:19  For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. 20  And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

Well, it is comforting to know that the Lord God is aware of all that is going on – but how can He show us that He knows? Fulfilment of prophecy is His best witness - BUT did you see this?

This photo of lightning striking the top of St. Peter’s basilica in Rome occurred only hours after the pope’s resignation speech! Was it approval or a warning? Or both?
Job 37: 2 Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth. 3 He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth. 4 After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard. 5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

Deut. 29:29  The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

In the Master’s Service,
Art

Claiming to be the successor to St Peter

Monday's surprising announcement by Pope Benedict XVI that he was resigning from the papacy struck some observers like a bolt out of the blue.  And a few hours later, an actual bolt of lightning struck St. Peter's Basilica, the centerpiece of the Vatican and one of the holiest sites in Christendom, NBC News reported. Was the lightning strike, coming just hours after Pope Benedict's announcement, evidence of God's wrath, or some ominous sign from above? Speculation over the resignation has focused on increasing pressure over the Vatican’s decades’ long protection of priests committing child abuse, the growing scandal over Vatican banking and finances, and intense infighting between the conservative and progressive wings of the Catholic Church. A Catholic saint has even been cited who prophesized that there would be a final Pope before the dissolution of the Catholic Church. According to this prophecy the next Pope will be the last.

The Vatican's cardinals were getting ready to leave a meeting to discuss three canonisations, chaired by Pope Benedict XVI, when he announced, in Latin, that he had one other bit of business to attend to. From his throne-like chair on a purple dais in the Sala del Concistoro, part of the Apostolic Palace, he quietly told his “fratres carissimi”, or “dear brothers”, that he needed to “communicate to you a decision of great importance for the life of the Church”. Having examined his conscience, he said, he had “come to the certainty that my strengths, due to an advanced age, are no longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry”. His “mind and body” were failing him, and in consequence he had decided to “renounce the ministry of the Bishop of Rome, Successor of Saint Peter”. The 265th Pope had just become the first in 598 years to resign. Angelo Sodano, dean of the College of Cardinals, who said it had come as a “bolt from the blue” when he was told.

Just who is the Pope? The word Pope means “Father”. He claims to the “Holy Father”, and the successor to St Peter. They believe that Christ said he would build his Church on St Peter – they track the tradition of the office of Pope back to St Peter. Therefore they say this is proof the Pope represents God on earth. Catholicism is the true Church.
But Jesus never said he would build his church on Peter. In Matthew 16:16 Peter says that Jesus was the Christ and son of God. In verse 18 Jesus says “thou art Peter” and upon the rock  of Peter’s statement he (Jesus) would build the church. Peter in fact means a small rolling stone. Christ did not build his church on that. He built it on himself. A ROCK. A huge unmoveable rock cliff. Rome is built on a pebble not a rock.

“and all drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank of the spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was christ.” (1 Corinthians 10:4 MKJV)

“16 and Simon Peter answered and said, you are the christ, the son of the living god. 17 jesus answered and said to him, you are blessed, Simon, son of Jonah, for flesh and blood did not reveal [it] to you, but my father in heaven. 18 and I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and [the] gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:16-18 MKJV)

Peter = Petros (a single stone)   Rock  = Petra (solid formation like a cliff)
The church (ecclesia) was built on Peter’s statement NOT on Peter. The Pope is WRONG.

So what do we make of this sudden and totally unexpected resignation of the Pope?
Well the Bible has a lot to say about “the Pope” and therefore we can expect God’s hand is behind this. God puts in power all the rulers of the world and there is no greater worldly ruler than the Pope. The Bible describes the role of the Pope in Daniel 7:8  - the Pope is the “little horn” that speaks great things against God. The pope is the “Roman ruler” (Daniel 9:26), the “man of sin” (2 Thessalonians 2:3), an “antichrist” (1 John 4:3), the “false prophet” (Revelation 16:13) “harlot” on the beast (Revelation 17:2-4).
When Christ returns and establishes his kingdom it will be the Pope that stands against Him. The woman and the beast (Rome and Europe) make war against Christ when he returns. (Rev 17:14) No wonder lightning struck the Vatican as this man stepped down.

“I was thinking about the horns, and behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom three of the first horns were uprooted. and behold, in this horn [were] eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.” (Daniel 7:8 MKJV)

“and after sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not [for] himself. and the people of the ruler who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. and the end of it [shall be] with the flood, and ruins are determined, until [the] end [shall be] war.” (Daniel 9:26 MKJV)

“let not anyone deceive you by any means. for [that day shall not come] unless there first comes a falling away, and the man of sin shall be revealed, the son of perdition,” (2 Thessalonians 2:3 MKJV)

“and every spirit that does not confess that jesus christ has come in [the] flesh is not of god. and this is the antichrist you heard is coming, and even now is already in the world.” (1 John 4:3 MKJV)

“these will make war with the lamb, and the lamb will overcome them. for he is lord of lords and king of kings. and those with him [are] the called and elect and faithful ones.” (Revelation 17:14 MKJV)
