Operation Onesimus which presents this two week long program that works to train and encourage our youth to be useful and active members of the body of Christ. It provides attendees with the skills and practice they need to be confident in their faith, knowledge and service in working for the Lord.
Our youth have an unmatched passion and energy for God's work, yet they may desire experience and direction. The Operation Onesimus program offers intensive Bible training and service opportunities in ecclesial and community settings. The program aspires to provide young people the tools and experience they need to persevere as confident and effective preachers in Christ.
The Christadelphian run program is geared towards ages 16+ and involves intensive classes, twice-daily devotions, ongoing Bible study and student-led evening presentations. Class topics are selected by teachers and usually focus on aspects of discipleship, service, who God is and what He expects from us. Attendees of Onesimus generally report a stronger faith, more conviction, a deeper understanding of God's plan and their relationship with Him and increased dedication to serving and preaching. Learning alongside others also results in a strong sense of community, where lifelong friendships are forged and strengthened.
The
Sunday School group has been hard at work preparing for the children's
bible camp at Schooley's Mountain the week after OO. Today, they are
taking a break from that to learn about different teaching styles and to
prepare for this Sunday's children's classes.
