“Bedenk toch hoe groot de liefde is die de Vader ons heeft geschonken!
Wij worden kinderen van God genoemd, en dat zijn we ook.
Dat de wereld ons niet kent, komt doordat de wereld hem niet kent.
Geliefde broeders en zusters, wij zijn nu al kinderen van God. Wat we zullen zijn is nog niet geopenbaard, maar we weten dat we aan hem gelijk zullen zijn wanneer hij zal verschijnen, want dan zien we hem zoals hij is. Ieder die dit vol vertrouwen van hem verwacht maakt zich rein, zoals ook Jezus rein is.
Ieder die zondigt overtreedt Gods wet, want zondigen is Gods wet overtreden.
U weet dat Jezus verschenen is om de zonden weg te nemen; er is in hem geen zonde. Ieder die in hem blijft, zondigt niet. Ieder die zondigt, heeft hem nooit gezien en kent hem niet. Mogelijkheid tot leven
Zij die in het Boek der Boeken kijken en de uitdaging aan gaan om tijd te nemen om dit Woord van God te bestuderen kunnen er zeker van zijn dat God naar beneden kijkt. Hij wil weten of er zulke zijn die van Zijn Woorden houden, deze willen aanhoren, ze ook echt willen begrijpen, ze opvolgen, en mensen die Hem echt willen zoeken.
In deze wereld kunnen wij als een gevangene voelen, met onze handen gebonden, in een soort van gevangenis. Wij kunnen ons verlaten voelen, of alleen en vergeten voelen. Maar God vergeet u niet. Hij is in Zijn Creatie geïnteresseerd en is gewillig zich aan te bieden naar diegene die Hem willen vinden. Ook voor hen die klaar zijn Zijn zoon aan te nemen strekt Hij Zijn hand uit naar deze wereld.
In het Boek, het Woord van God kunnen wij een Nieuw Testament vinden dat ons over de Nieuwe Overeenkomst, het Nieuwe Verbond en over die ene persoon vertelt die zijn leven voor iedereen gaf. Door het geven van zijn leven ontvangen wij de mogelijkheid om te leven.
Ook al kunnen wij zo verschillend van ras zijn dat ons een studie in verscheidenheid kan voorschotelen, mogen wij ons ondersteunen in een verbazingwekkende variatie van mogelijkheden.
Of wij nu een van de 6.000 talen spreken kunnen wij door het luisteren naar de Woorden van God en door ze toe te passen toch nog gelijk worden. Al de gedeelde gemeenschappelijke aangelegenheden, behoeften, verlangens, maar ook die moeilijkheden rondom ons en verleidingen, zijn uiteindelijk dan gedeelde smarten waar wij elkaar ook oplossingen voor kunnen geven.
De wil om tot economische veiligheid en tevredenstellend werk te komen is iets algemeens voor de mens. Iedereen op deze aarde verlangt naar veiligheid op alle gebied. En de meesten wensen niet enkel dat geluk voor zichzelf alleen, maar ook voor hun partner, hun kinderen en kleinkinderen. En zij die de mensen lief hebben verlangen ook dat hun gehele omgeving in geluk mag baden, van welstand en vrede.
Als wij het Woord van God ons eigen maken kunnen wij het ook gemakkelijker met anderen delen, door de standvastigheid en bedrevenheid van ons geloof.
De voor ons zo nodige vriendschap en steun van en aan anderen kunnen wij delen met anderen. Wij gedijen op menselijk contact en liefde. Jong of oud, koesteren wij goede gezondheid.
In deze wereld mogen wij vertoeven en kunnen wij het geluk hebben dat wij met elkaar kunnen delen.
Het regelmatig doornemen van de Bijbel geeft ons de kans advies aangeboden te krijgen dat ons verder helpt om de taaie economische voorwaarden van heden te overleven. door regelmatig de Bijbel te bestuderen kunnen wij die Bijbelse principes herkennen die ons kunnen helpen voorkomen onnodig te lijden. De bijbel brengt de de principes naar voor waar wij moeten mee akkoord gaan indien wij voorgoed onder de regel van het beloofde koninkrijk van God wensen te leven. De Bijbel kan onze leven verbeteren en op weg helpen om zelf beter te worden en anderen het ook beter te laten hebben.
Wij kunnen anderen uitnodigen om ook die kennis te delen en samen rond de tafel te zitten om Jezus te herinneren. Laten wij allen samen God zoeken en met Jezus op stap gaan om deze Almachtige Vader te naderen.

Possibility to live
Those who look into the Book of Books and dare to take time to study this Word of God may be sure that God is looking down. He wants to know if there are any who would like to understand His Words, any who really want to seek Him.
In this world we can feel captive, hands tied, in a kind of prison. We can feel left alone, forgotten. But God does not forget you. He is interested in His Creation and is willing to come forward to those who want to find Him. Also for those who are ready to accept His son He is reaching His hand out to this world.
In the Word of God we can find a New Testament, the Book that tells us about the New Covenant and about that one person who gave his life for everybody. By giving his life we receive the possibility to live.
We are here to leave our loads, safe in fellowship, in love, centred around the huge love God shows us through His son. So, let’s try to leave our loads in the left luggage office, so we can enjoy the blessings God gives us, Rob Clements exhorted the Horley Christadelphians last Sunday.

Power in the life of certain
The human race is a study in diversity. —We are a fascinating collection of different shades, different shapes, different sizes. —We support ourselves in an amazing variety of ways. —We speak to our loved ones in over 6,000 tongues.—Yet, we are far more alike than different.
We share common concerns, needs, desires. We want economic security and satisfying work. We want our marriages to be happy. We want the best for our children. We want them to be close to us. We want them to share our values, to be safe and secure. Also we need friendship and support from others. We thrive on human contact and love. Young or old, we cherish good health. Far too often though, these desires go unfulfilled.
Children come to reject parental values and standards. Marital bliss turns into marital distress. Making a living becomes a stressful ordeal. Despite high-tech medicine, illness and death eventually conquer us all. Most people feel powerless to improve their lot in life. However there is something that can make a difference, something that has given millions of people hope, and has empowered them to change their lives for the better. Something that can make a difference in your life.
The Bible– Its Power In Your Life.
Many acknowledge the Bible as a literary masterpiece, but it is much more than that. It is the most widely circulated book in existence. Over 90% of the population of our planet have access to it. More than any other book, the Bible has the power to change people's lives, As the Bible itself says: "The word of God is alive and exerts power . . ." [Hebrews 4:12] But if this is true, then why do so many problems plague mankind? How could the Bible have the solutions to mankind's difficulties when so many of those who claim to believe in it are unfulfilled and unhappy? The World Council of Churches reports: "There is frightening and growing ignorance of the Bible in all sections of western society." Bible Societies estimate that 85% of western `Christians' have never read the whole Bible. Regrettably, many who do read the Bible simply do not understand it. God's word thus has little impact on the lives of most who claim to believe in it.
Do you understand the Bible? Do you read it?
In Belgium not many persons do take up the Book they consider just difficult to read imaginative literature or old fashioned poetry.
Are there people interested to know more about that Word of God?
Are it only Jehovah's Witnesses who have unlocked the Bible's power and put it to work in their lives. They are known the world over as students of the Bible, but they are not the only ones.
In Belgium you also can find serious Bible researchers, people who do love to read and study the Bible, recognising that it is the invaluable Word of God, which can show us the Way to Live for ever.
We have the firm conviction that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God.
"The Bible that we have today, is referred to by many as a divine library, a collection of sacred writings, undertaken by about 40 different men over a period of 1,500 years. Some of these writers were shepherds, fishermen, and even a physician. Remarkably though, the Bible is one harmonious book, united by a single theme, God's Kingdom. The book that we have today, called `The Bible' is a reliable library of divine information. "
By conforming to God's Law book, the Bible, not only millions of Jehovah's Witnesses have transformed their lives. Before that organisation the world could already find serious Bible Students with a.o. Thomasites or Christadelphians.
All those who looked into the Word of God to find teachings and inspiration where helped by those words in the 66 books of the Bible, in three arias: Family Life, Economics, and Health.
Bible Students as the Christadelphians are also convinced that the Bible offers any advice that can help you survive today's tough economic conditions and that there are Bible principles that can help prevent needless suffering.
The Bible has the power to change lives. But it does more than just give practical advice. The Bible is the law book of God's Kingdom. It sets forth the principles we must adhere to if we are to live forever under that kingdom's rule.
The Bible can improve our lives. Yet, as the apostle Paul wrote: "All creation keeps on groaning together, and being in pain." Faithful servants of God are not spared the ravages of illness, or the aches and pains of old age. But they are sustained by faith in the future blessings from God's Kingdom. The words of Job 33:25 will then be fulfilled on a grand scale. "Let his flesh become fresher than in youth. Let him return to the days of his youthful vigour."

Zijn Christadelphians zo 'Old fashioned'?

De 'zondag Lezing' van De Christadelphian (90.1072.309), 1953 wordt geciteerd en 'Old fashioned' genoemd volgens de populaire mening. Maar zijn de Christadelphians hun opvattingen wel werkelijk zo ouderwets?
Vandaag kunnen wij een over geseksualiseerde media-inhoud vinden, alsook een houding van de mensen die het slechts geweldig vinden om leute te maken of zomaar goed veel plezier te hebben. Het amusement is de belangrijkste waarde geworden in het leven. De diepte van de inhoud speelt geen rol. En of het lang duurt is ook niet belangrijk zo lang er de volgende dag ook maar een dag komt dat er plezier kan gemaakt worden. Genieten is de eerste prioriteit.
Genieten is natuurlijk niet slecht, want dat is iets dat wij allemaal moeten doen. Wij moeten genieten van het leven. Maar hoe wij dat doen is wel belangrijk.
Wanneer wij sommige mensen op het werk horen spreek over hun partner lijkt het er wel op dat zij van partner veranderen zoals van ondergoed.
Vandaag kunnen wij niet anders dan vaststellen dat onze leefgemeenschap geplaagd wordt door vele scheiding en moeilijkheden in huisgezinnen en in scholen, maar dat is geen wonder als men bekijkt waar de prioriteiten van de meeste mensen liggen en aan welke aandacht zij schenken aan moraal en sociaal contact.
Talrijke professionele studies bevestigen de mening van de Christadelphians over hun levensvisie en over de gang van zaken in de maatschappij waar wij regelmatig geconfronteerd worden met de vele geseksualiseerde inhoud, waarvan bevestigd wordt dat zij schaad.
- Talrijke studies hebben een verband gevonden tussen stereotiepe houdingen over de seksualiteit van vrouwen en agressief seksueel gedrag. Enkele hebben aangetoond dat vrouwen en mannen die waren blootgestelden aan seksueel objectiverende beelden van heersende stromingsmedia beduidend aannemend waren voor verkrachtingsmythen, seksuele pesterijen, seksrolstereotypes, intermenselijk geweld en antagonistisch seksueel geloof over verhoudingen. - Het is aangetoond dat de massamedia een effect hebben op een brede waaier van puberachtige gezondheid-gerelateerd houdingen en op gedragingen inclusief geweld, eet stoornissen, tabak en alcohol gebruik.
- Blootstelling naar seksuele inhoud op televisie naar de jeugd toe modelleert seksuele houdingen en gedragingen op een wijze die reproductieve gezondheidsresultaten kan beïnvloeden
- Pornografie is geneigd seksueel gebruik te zien als afgescheiden van enige gevoelige overweging voor een partner maar er is overvloed van bewijs dat het soms schade toebrengt
- Slechter zelfs dan het geweld en de spot van alle vriendelijke deugden is de bezorgdheid met seks .
- Heden is er een aanmoediging van de verkeerde soort van emoties door het maken of bevorderen van seks, drank en de andere manieren om "een goede tijd" te hebben.
- Laat het oplichten van zekere moderne tijdschriften volkomen worden verboden en laat de moderne seks-gebaseerde roman — een van de vloeken van deze generatie — wijs naar de vuilnisbak worden verwezen .

The ‘Sunday Reading’ from The Christadelphian (90.1072.309), 1953 is quoted and called 'old fashioned’ by popular opinion but numerous professional studies confirm their opinion about what we do have to encounter or the many sexualized content is damaging.
Today we can find an over sexualized media content and do find an attitude by people that it is just great to have good fun. When we hear some people at work speak about partners it looks like they are changing them as they are changing their underwear.

Christadelphian Heritage College
The Christadelphian Heritage College (98 pupils) was one of the 15 achievers, excluded by The Sun-Herald from the analysis for the "Low-tech path to success" because they had fewer than 100 students, but this does not mean they did not shun the digital age and would not have embraced unorthodox teaching methods to achieve the top for the 10 primary schools, in national literacy tests.

To belong to = toebehoren
To belong to
One can belong to someone or to something or get by someone. A person can when he belongs be subjected or submitted to someone or be the property or possession of someone.
Under the key word or tag “toebehoren” (to belong to / belonging to) you will find mainly articles that go over the vassalage or which concerns giving oneself vassalage or finding himself self as possession of someone or something else, like to anger, the world, people, or to Jesus or in the best circumstances to God.
Belonging to (“toebehoren”) implies that one belongs there to and wants to make en inherent part of. It is an implicit action of dispossession or act of surrender or vassalage in solidarity. It is the surrender of the self, wanting to bind the dispossession of itself to that or to the one whom one wants to belong to. One wants to be part or constitute of that to which the person wants to be connected with or to be related to. The binding to the thing or person is by willing to give the own personality in subjection to the other.
Originating from the Indo-European (Indo-German) ekklèsia and the Greek verb the ekklèsiadzö: (folkmeeting / gathering of the people) the assembly or public meeting or to convene also “to conduct there the word” indicates the gathering or coming together of them which have prepared themselves to attach themselves to the Lord they want to come under. The ekklesia (Gr. EKKX7/vla, of EK, of, EK, and KaXEiv, to clamour, to cry, weep, call out, making noice) brings together those people who are kyriakón (kirk signaling “from the lord originating” or “belonging to the lord”, “ the, lord belonging”). Belonging to God also indicates that one feels oneself at home by him and is happy to be under His custody. One wishes to put oneself at the service of God and in solidarity one can be then the group belonging to God or the belonging ones, or the ecclesia, also known as the ‘church”.
From the Greek word and term ekklèsia the Romanesque words for church have originated: église (Fr.), chiesa (It.), iglesia (Sp.), igreja (Port.) as well as the words kirk, kirke, kirch, church.
Belonging to also means being part of, being devoted to, attached to, but also being one of mind.

accompanying, originating, included, enclosed, being attached to, adherent at, inherent at,
including, implicitly.
