Pain and Suffering is inevitable but Misery is optional

"Pain and Suffering is inevitable but Misery is optional."

"God did not promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain.
But he promised us strength for the day, comfort for tears and light for the road."

"For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience?
But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God.
For you have been called for this purpose,
since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps."

1 Peter 2:20-21

God our Lord, I thank you that I can feel your guiding hand.
Give that I always can overcome the problems that could happen to me.
Make that I can  come stronger out of the struggles.

  1. Psalm 34 verse 19:- "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all."

John boy, John Ching (Halifax, NS), wrote:
We tend to think (well I often do) that when we are finding life to be difficult, and many troubles weigh down upon us, that we are in this plight as some sort of punishment for things we have done wrong.

This indicates the opposite, but instead that the afflictions of the *righteous* are many. I take strength and encouragement from this. The evil may have their afflictions also (in fact it seems sometimes that they don't), but they have no deliverance.
